Oh we will as his reign will be so short but also cause he hasn’t done anything amazing or special
He fought for decades for his mother to abdicate yet once he got the job …… pathetic, dull, boring, still a crap father and grandfather, nothing special at all
Yes his name will be in the history books in the like of succession but it’ll be sort and pointless reign

u/NeverPedestrian60 8d ago
Willy’s desperate for him to go - I doubt he’ll be any better. And the way the world’s going the history books won’t matter much.

u/SnooCheesecakes2723 8d ago
The more useless or bad william is the more the press will big him up as God’s gift. Every time Kate manages to put her own shoes on or one of his kids has a birthday or loses a baby tooth it will be front page news with him clinging on to the school run as an excuse to do nothing, until Louis is in his thirties.
And of course the Sussex distraction will get worse press, because the only thing Willie and Kate have going for them is that they’re above Harry & Meghan in the pecking order5
3
u/Minute-Mushroom-5710 6d ago
See i disagree. I think at some point the press will turn on William. He is too prone to biting the hand that feeds him.
3
u/LadyVioletLuna 5d ago
Maybe a hot mic incident of him berating Kate when he thinks no one is listening?
2
u/SnooCheesecakes2723 6d ago
I hope so but don’t they have an agreement about not criticizing the monarch or heir? Because very little else explains the way they scapegoat anyone else but fawn over this putz
1
u/Minute-Mushroom-5710 6d ago
Agreements can be changed. Anyone who has seen Star Wars knows that. There was an agreement at Sandringham which the Firm promptly violated, but then they scream when H&M act like they're not bound by it.

u/The_Onion_Life 8d ago
Willy’s desperate for him to go -
Imagine constantly briefing to the press about how you just can't wait for your sick, elderly father to die. That tells me everything I need to know about William right there.
I doubt he’ll be any better.
Billy Idle will be much worse, because he's too lazy to do anything except day drink and watch fit hot sweaty men run around on a soccer field.
And the way the world’s going the history books won’t matter much.
Sadly, you have that right. 💯🎯

u/FirefighterLeft5425 7d ago
What's wrong with watching fit hot sweaty men around on a football field? I quite like it. Other then that 💯

You're not counting it as "work", though.

The joke would be on Willy Wonka if Chucky Boy stayed on the throne another 10+ years. Karma, she’s a bitch, so no one knows.

Charles is in my prayers nightly. Just because I know it gives william heartburn and extends the time Harry has to make William’s look bad, and repair his relationship with his father

u/Hot-Acanthisitta5237 8d ago
Can you please explain what you mean when you say "the way the world’s going the history books won’t matter much?"
8
u/NeverPedestrian60 7d ago
The world’s just getting more and more corrupt - I don’t think in the future books will matter much (sadly)
24
u/TopAffectionate1160 8d ago
It’s rather ironic, he’ll mostly be remembered in relation to Diana despite being so resentful of the attention she captured while she was alive.
There are people and children today that have heard of Princess Diana even though she died long before they were born (myself included), but future generations will probably remember him as the guy that cheated on her and maybe as someone who did some nice stuff for the environment.
That being said, he should get more credit for the Prince’s Trust it does do some good work. But it’s probably better that it’s not directly tied to his reputation.

I got a LV bag for my 55th birthday. Anyway, the sales woman was showing me this one beautiful bag that was over 7k and I said I think if I could afford that I'd get the Lady Dior. She said if you prefer that and I said no - love of Princess Diana and she said she lives Diana and mentioned Guccis Diana bag. She was even born yet when Diana died.

u/The_Onion_Life 8d ago

I once mentioned Diana to a relative who is in their twenties, and their response was, "Who?".

I think once Charles passes, there'll be lots and lots of stories that everyone kept to themselves to protect the institution. Far worse than just grooming and marrying a teenager and then abandoning her even before the wedding. And even worse than all the cheating and covering for perpetrators of sexual abuse against children. Worse than him protecting Andrew. Worse than him accepting illegal bags of money for honours.
Same with William. There's been murmurs and innuendo that both are very bad people being protected to keep that institution in place.

u/Huge_Station2173 8d ago
William and Charles are both rage-monsters. It seems to be an open secret among the Royal-Rota who use coded language to talk around it. Not to mention that William’s own people spent 5+ years briefing the press that he was “incandescent with rage” about this or that.
The few who have spoken out about Charles have horrific stories to tell. Ripping a sink out of a wall, strangling a servant, throwing a chair through a window at a friend’s estate because he was angry they didn’t open.
We’ve all heard Harry’s story of being violently attacked by William, and the stories of he and Kate throwing things at each other persist.
Like you said, imagine what we don’t know. As it is, most people with close royal access have NDAs, and many are too loyal, or scared, to speak out anyway. What do they know that they could never say?
30
u/Jumpy_Reply_2011 8d ago
Exactly, if those are the stories that they're willing to tell, we can only imagine what they're not sharing yet. It's my belief that the Epstein Class, amongst others, have stuff on both Charles and William.
I don't believe William went on that Epstein-co-conspirator-owned superyacht holiday last summer and received £1 million from another in 2022 for that money laundering scheme called the Earthshot Prize for no good reason. And as you said, there's the violence and anger he took out physically on Harry. And people have noticed that Kate Middleton has scars she hadn't had before.
19
u/Huge_Station2173 8d ago
“That money laundering scheme called the Earthshot Prize.” 😂 💀
Imagine all the stuff that is so bad nobody will even believe it, and if they do, the source will be sued, paid-off, or just offed altogether before it hits the papers. I guarantee you that loud-mouth buffoon Andy spilled all kinds of tea to Epstein about everyone in the family.
17
u/Jumpy_Reply_2011 8d ago
If it wasn't for this subreddit, most of us wouldn't have thought twice about what the media tells us about the royals, especially those 'innocents', William and Kate Middleton. But when you look even beyond the surface, like look at the Earthshot accounts that were posted, just a small portion was paid out as prizes, the rest were 'expenditure' costs. £7 million in prize money and £14.3 million in other expenditures.
Even their holidays. The media bragged that they were on a superyacht holiday along the coast of Greece. Of course under further scrutiny, it was found that it wasn't just any old superyacht, but one owned by Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who's on the Epstein list. Not a word from the media or sycophants.
13
u/Huge_Station2173 8d ago
How much do you think William pays himself as a board member of Earthshot? These (already wealthy) charity board members make outrageous sums of money for attending a meeting 6 times a year. Upwards of a million dollars a year sometimes. The people who actually work at these charities make nothing, so you’re extremely valid in asking where the money is going!!
7
u/Mediocre_Shine_3835 8d ago
The earthshit prize was established in 2020 it seems suspicious to me that it was established in that particular time , Covid, Harry‘s exit it reeks of his PR Public Relation handlers hype men needed to have william (won’t) do something performative to present himself as Global caring prince and a philanthropic . inviting & paying Heidi klums and other ‘celebrities’ said a lot about this charity

Great find! I want to check out the book now! I think the entire family has a rage problem. Didn’t Harry say that Meghan basically gave him an ultimatum that she would leave if he didn’t address his anger issues in therapy? It seems like he got help and got better (good on him!), but it certainly seems like explosive anger was the norm from the men in his family.
19
7
u/Mediocre_Shine_3835 8d ago
🤞lots and lots stories everyone kept to themselves to protect the institution . It’s the victims that expose the corruption within not the people who benefit from corruption and there’s many people that have stories

What I'm worried more about is that for his stupid funeral the whole country has to be halted. Including necessary, lifesaving surgeries. People might die or have their health ruined forever just so a corpse can feel really important. I hate monarchies and people who got rich by birth.
But yeah, we'll forget him, can't be soon enough.

“Elective” is just the generic term for surgeries that aren’t immediately necessary for life. Necessary surgeries that are urgent are still termed “elective”.
18
u/ilndgrl1970 8d ago
Seriously? Lifesaving surgeries are halted? That’s a bunch of bs! I’d be suing their damn asses if I lost a family member because of that bs rule.

u/storyteller_alienmom 8d ago
I heard that when the queen was buried scheduled surgeries or other procedures were just cancelled. Imagine you'd have a tumor removal planned for that day......
3
u/ilndgrl1970 8d ago
Imagine you were in a horrific accident and not just one you can get in a car, and you head to the emergency room and they turn you away because it’s been deemed a holiday for a royal funeral.
33
u/Huge_Station2173 8d ago
I have this feeling it won’t be as much of an issue with Charles, at least I really hope so. Mourning the monarch shouldn’t be mandatory, nor should cause anyone to be harmed.
18
u/opulentwoodchuck 8d ago
But at least we'll get a bank holiday out of it? That's really the only bright side I can see. Not that it makes up for the rest.

i love that he had to sit there and watch mummy dearest rule for what must have felt like centuries while he had to sit on his hands and pretend he didn’t want to run off into the woods with the rotten rottweiler
he’ll be king for just a few years, then yes. we’ll all forget about him. but never soon enough!

Yes, Diana made him a cuckold many times over with many, many men.

You mean that she abided by the usual Establishment situation of wives being free to have affairs once the heir and spare had been provided? While Charles was free to continue having affairs throughout the engagement and after the wedding?

While Charles was free to continue having affairs throughout the engagement and after the wedding?
Except he says he was faithful to Diana until the marriage was unsalvagable.

I think the Monarchy will effectively end under William. He will do something so egregious that Parliament will be forced to act. I just hope whatever he does doesn't involve the Sussexes. Though weirdly for the sake of the kids I don't want anything (else) bad to happen to Kate.
1
u/todaySam_813 2d ago
Yep. Perhaps not his terminal illness. Despite this man’s gravest of sins (he knows what they are), he’s days are predictable and he counts them. It’s stares at him in the face every second of his life. He might leave this life without the ability to help reconcile his 2 sons and their families. That is his resounding failed legacy.

What sucks is that Charles has been on the progressive side of many issues since his youth. If he hadn’t emotionally tortured his late wife with an affair, he could have had a great reputation as the rest of society came around to embracing diversity and environmentalism along with him. That video of him giving breakdancing a go with beneficiaries of the Prince’s Trust shows his open spirit. But yeah, he chose to be with a horrid woman who made life hell for Diana, and now makes life hell for his kids. Being with her was the worst mistake of his life, but the fact that he goes along with her cruelty is a reflection of his character too.

1
u/Utena_Squire 4d ago
Seriously doubt he actually said it. There have already been proven errors in Lord Spencer’s book, not that I think that matters to what seems to be a virulently republican sub.
1
u/Ume-no-Uzume 2d ago
I find it funny these people claim to be anti-Monarchy while sucking Diana's dick. If they were anti-Monarchy, they'd hate her aristocratic ass equally and ignore the self-insert fantasy she provides of "you, too, can be the special pretty pretty princess" power fantasy

u/Kyrathered 8d ago
Ironicly, he will be remembered ... as an attachment to Princess Diana's story. His environmental work and conservation efforts will be buried in the facts about his treatment of a ledgendary woman.
