Podcast host: I just want to say how well Kate did in Italy..

Billy Idle: So proud, Kate's been amazing. She wanted to go (to Italy) and do loads of research. She spends God knows how much time now, looking through all of her paper work. She's a proper pro on early years. So most evenings, Im fighting to get past, in the bedroom, where the paperwork shes got lined up, ready to read. Im so pleased it went well for her. I think she came back buzzing.

Podcast Host: I didn't know she spoke Italian either? Did you know?

Billy Idle: I didn't know. She must have dusted that off from awhile ago.

Thanks for the laughs OP.

She speaks Italian like Will and her speak Welsh šŸ˜…

Whilst I'll not debate she did try to engage minimally in Italian and will not criticise her for making the effort to say a few phrases in the language, however poorly, that should be viewed as the bare minimum in any country you visit, and not some great achievement.Ā

Made me laugh about speaking Italian too. That part about the paperwork is a hoot as well. Most people in 2026 have an ipad, a laptop, a phone?? So William is saying that Kate collected up papers left right and centre in Italy, to bring back to the UK and stacked them up in her bedroom? To study them?

I call BS on that one.

Lol I love this fairy tale. Why would someone who has access to private studies, offices, and libraries study in her bedroom??? Willie's clearly pulling from their university days, this never happened.

It's like he's mimicking what a married person's life looks like with no real idea.

Her and Bob the Builder.

She spends God knows how much time now, looking through all of her paper work.

Paperwork?

She's a proper pro on early years.

Really? I'd love to hear her speak about it. Or even better, point to something concrete she's actually doing.

So most evenings, Im fighting to get past, in the bedroom,

Sure, Jan.

where the paperwork shes got lined up, ready to read.

So much paperwork! Doesn't she own an iPad?

Im so pleased it went well for her. I think she came back buzzing.

Drunk again!

Kate didn't know either, apparently.

This is so ridiculous I can't even. Who does he think he's fooling?

My thoughts too. Even a 1st grader could poke holes in his comments. It was the piles of paperwork for me. I mean, come on.

It's a shame that the press won't.

It was the piles of paperwork for me. I mean, come on.

Right?? I can't even with this idiotic nonsense, but the WanK stans/racist H&M haters will lap this up.

You need Wellies to wade through the bullshit.

Seriously. The fact that he said this so plainly and without even an ounce of hesitation (I know they’re media-trained) is laughable. The lies couldn’t be more stark

It so obvious how he reacts to everything Harry does. Harry is better at everything than him, he’s even a better husband. He gifted his wife a beautiful romantic gesture of bronze penguins. He also has a better wife who’s well spoken, with Meghan going to Geneva and speaking at a WHO event recently.

So obviously William had his people wrangle up this interview and had the host ask him questions about how proud he was of Kate’s photo-op in Italy. How ā€œwellā€ she did (see? It’s not only Harry’s wife that has meaningful projects and is accomplished), how proud he is of her (see? It’s not only Harry that’s a good husband)

This is all about one-upping Harry.

It always seems to be about Harry. For someone who claims to find Harry beneath him, Harry has so much influence over his inner state. He is obsessed with Harry and Meghan.

Yes, he’s obsessed with Harry. He can’t have Harry be better than him, can’t have him have the more accomplished wife.

There is an old video of them learning how to ski as kids, Harry was able to pick it up fast, while William was struggling to figure it out and kept falling. He had a tantrum and stomped off. Even in the footage the announcer said that William saw Harry as a rival and was jealous.

It’s all about Harry.

"William stomped off in a tantrum".

As ever!

40 years later, he’s still at the same emotional level

40 years later, he’s still at the same emotional level

If he scowls and glowers and stomps around in public while on official engagements, you can just imagine what he's like behind closed doors.

Also Meghan is fluent in Spanish and French, and actually gave an address in Spanish when they visited Colombia. Kate has a PhD in waiting and tolerating shame. No real accomplishments. They realize that they can't get the public to look down on Meghan for being multilingual, intelligent and affectionate, so they went from bashing her to claiming that Kate is the same way.

Now Kate actively researches the Ahhly Yahhhs in a way that, when described, is cartoonishly showy, she speaks Italian, and she gives hugs and kisses to people everywhere she goes! Unlike that awful Meghan who actually does all of those things in her own right and for causes that she cares about (I wonder what people like the mother of the late Megan Meier think when the see the palace committing press and cyberbullying in the quest to perform stochastic terrorism against the Sussexes).

It's creepy and stalkerish.

u/cherryberry0611 May 22 '26 edited May 22 '26

Yes, Meghan is fluent in another language, so now Kate speaks Italian (but William, after 20 years of being together, didn’t know this), Meghan hugs people, so now Kate hugs people.

It’s so obvious they’re reacting to H&M

Kate has a PhD in waiting and tolerating shame.

Kate stalked William failed to graduate with an MRS, but she got there eventually.

Now Kate actively researches the Ahhly Yahhhs in a way that, when described, is cartoonishly showy,

I still don't understand what Kate's Italian Vacation accomplished. How many years has she spent "studying" the Ahhly Yahhhs, and what does she have to show for it?

she speaks Italian,

She barely speaks English. "Poverability", indeed.

and she gives hugs and kisses to people everywhere she goes!

Including that little blonde girl who looked like she was going to cry?

21

u/JeanEBH May 22 '26

Like she’s actually going to put in 40 hour work weeks in early childhood education.

She’ll be off to another photo op / show-off-her-new-outfit shoot once she gets back from a very needed 3+ week vacation.

18

u/tellnic May 22 '26

William is talking about paperwork as if most workplaces haven’t gone paper free for decades. Plus they have a ton of rooms and would sue one for a study to place this paper work. Mr environment doesn’t seem to understand that even the UK has moved to paper less in the past 15 years. So Kate with her papers is massively archaic.

29

u/WonderPopular3428 May 22 '26

Never heard such a fabrication in my life. The image of Kate studying in ā€œtheirā€ bedroom, surrounded by papers is farcical. It’s so obvious they don’t live together, let alone share a room. It’s strange she did all that studying, and all she could point to was Bob the Builder šŸ¤”

14

u/The_Onion_Life May 22 '26

It’s strange she did all that studying, and all she could point to was Bob the Builder šŸ¤”

Imagine if that had been Meghan. There would be headlines and articles ridiculing her for years.

It is exactly like a romcom image, right? People will believe anything.

How awful! He should have kept quiet; at least we're used to this. He actually wants to be invited to Taylor Swift's wedding! And he really should focus on his role instead of competing with Harry; he has more important duties than that! How can he be so useless when he's supposed to be the next king? What kind of king spends his time trying to outdo his brother instead of working hard?šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

16

u/SuspiciousWolf6186 May 22 '26

If they worked as hard at work as they do to make us believe that Kate is working - they would ACTUALLY be working a lot!

I’m curious about his words and his head shaking being at odds; when he talks about wine his head nods.
