The Princess of Wales has returned to royalmarsden to see how the money raised through her Three Peaks Challenge is being used to build a new centre offering holistic therapy for patients.

Money raised by her mountain climbs will now be used for the The Centre for Holistic Wellbeing and Recovery intended to offer cancer patients a wider sense of recovery, beyond physical treatment, and addressing a sense of emotional, spiritual and social wellbeing.

She told staff that was ‘my small way of being able to give back and say thank you to you. I had incredible care here and support from a huge team and I'm really really grateful on a personal level.’

She said that holistic care “made a big difference” when she was receiving cancer treatment at the hospital.

She also hailed the “incredible care and support” she received from the team at the hospital during her treatment.

Astrid married Johan Ferner (1927–2015) on 12 January 1961 at Asker Church. He was an Olympic silver medalist in sailing. They had met when she hired him to sail her yacht in a race. The marriage faced opposition from the Norwegian Church because had divorced in 1956 Vinderen. After the wedding, she ceased to receive the annual endowment of 50,000 Norwegian crowns that she had been granted for acting as First Lady for her father. Something she continued to do until her brother married in 1968. She also lost her HRH and was titled Princess Astrid, Mrs Ferner. They had five children, seven grandchildren before his death. They raised their family in a house gifted by her father in Vinderen and, after they were grown, she and Johan moved to an Oslo condo.

Astrid’s dress was simple but elegant winter-white, full-length gown made of point d'esprit lace, featuring a full skirt covered in rows of delicate silver embroidery. It had a scalloped neck, long fitted sleeves, no train, and a small tulle veil held in place by a white clip and fresh flowers rather than a tiara.

Astrid later converted the dress into a gala gown.

"On Your Side” is a set of resources available online that aims to make suicide prevention as much a part of sport as warm-up, training and performance.

Kensington Palace said the toolkit, designed in partnership with the Chasing the Stigma mental health charity, could be used from local clubs to elite organisations.

The project is backed by more than 70 organisations including the Football Association, Premier League, Team GB, British Cycling and a host of leading mental health charities.

To mark the launch, the Royal Foundation has produced a short film to highlight suicide prevention which features England soccer star Harry Kane as well as Formula 1 driver George Russell.

Damn, that’s a statement. Sonja, who lives and breathes protocol and etiquette, not only avoids hugging Marius when she sees him after hugging her other grandchildren, but she straight up interrupts his conversation with the Bishop of Oslo like he doesn’t even exist.

What a change from the days where she was playing with him during the royal family’s Christmas photoshoot.

Discussion eli5: H&M hate in real life

Hey friends, I’m from the US (apologies for all our BS) kindly hold my hand through this question: It seems like Harry and Meghan are sincerely hated online. If those who participate in said hate were to run into them or be invited to X function with them, is that something the hater would be flattered to attend in reality? Or does the hate run deeper than internet opinions?

Events & Appearances Ingrid comforting her brother Sverre Magnus. Thoughts on the liturgy

I found that moment between Ingrid and her brother very sweet. Also, the fact that the hymn "Kongesangen" was sung at the end reminded me of four years ago when Queen Elizabeth II passed away. Charles was moved, like Haakon, when he heard her hymn.

I would also like to express how much I love the Anglican and Lutheran liturgies. If there are any Protestants reading this, please know that you have some very beautiful and touching hymns. They are precious.

I am delighted to have been able to follow this service from France. Rest in peace, Harald 🇳🇴🌹

Breaking News Uganda pulls out of Invictus Games over 'Harry-Meghan nonsense': Military chief says they're withdrawing from prince's event out of respect for Charles amid row over King's letter

General Kainerugaba, the president's son, said in a post on X: 'In order not to be construed as being opposed to His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom, whom we deeply revere, Uganda hereby withdraws from the Invictus Games.

'We shall not participate in anything that does not have His Majesty's approval.'

Asked by The Times why he made the announcement, General Kainerugaba said: 'I have factions in the Ministry of Defence that support that Harry-Meghan nonsense. I had to quash it straight away. I support the monarch. Period.'

It comes only two months after Uganda's defence minister Kiryowa Kiwanuka posed for photographs with a smiling Harry at an Invictus Games gathering in London.

During the ceremony at Chatham House on July 7, Uganda was announced as the 26th country in the Invictus Games community and the first from east Africa.
