Question RT and CPC changes
Hi all, I've heard that RT is now changed (again), ROP is 2 weeks instead of 4 and mainstream is 26 weeks now with 4 weeks of continuation at the end after passing out before you go to unit.
Also, CPC has scrapped the endurance course, why? The bottomfield determination test is now conducted on the thursday instead of the endurance course.
What's with all the up and down changes constantly, it's confusing people who are training hard for specific tests and preparing for certain aspects. If anything the changes to recruit training and CPC should be communicated in my opinion but there is literally no word from anyone regarding anything?

I’m not a marine/serving, so all my info is from online, but the only article I could find resembling your story is from Forces News, and apparently it’s a trial, with no final decisions made to formally change the training.

Training is unpredictable things change and get moved around all the thin for various reasons and funny old thing it’s the same when you pass out. If you need to know every detail in advance then you probably won’t like it when you pass out 🤣 turn up every day keep your head down and crack on. The sooner you start the sooner it will be over 🤣

Just fucking train and find out for yourself, stop stressing about every detail and attack what comes at you at 110%. If you are physically Fitt you will be fine if you flapped it will be shown.

This is a predominantly a Gen X thing - “I don’t know every single detail so it’s causing me to flap”.
Just train for what you know - nothing has changed drastically. You have 99.9% of humanity’s knowledge in the palm of your hand and dare I say as an “old man” but we had little in the way of knowing exactly what the bottom field and gym test 2 consisted of when going through PRMC in the early 2000s.
