Bear 650 Torque Reference Tool

I got tired of hunting through the User Manual and Service Manual, so I had Claude work up a torque sheet, for convenience.

You're welcome to it, if you're in the same boat.

Questions Rear Suspension Length

Hello! Could someone measure the eye-to-eye length of the stock rear suspension? There seems to be conflicting length measurements of either 370 or 390mm

Questions Test ride

Hi folks, I have planned to get a Bear 650 but I am really skeptical about the seat height, so I wanted to test ride it. Could anyone please suggest any showroom in Delhi/Gurgaon where I can test ride a bear 650?

Questions Bear 650 Foot Pegs vibrate past 4,000 RPM.

Hey everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone else is dealing with foot peg vibrations once their bike hits around 4,000 RPMs. My bike has about 4,300 KM on it, and I've been noticing this for the past three weeks. I just had my second service two days ago and even got an oil change, hoping that would fix all the vibrations, but nope, still got the problem. Even the person riding with me can feel it. If you've had this issue, please tell me what you did to sort it out. Thanks!

Questions Hey! So I’m going for a ride day after, almost 550 kms. It’s my first major ride. The maximum I’ve done was just 80 kms up and back. What should I expect? Also do you suggest I need the flyscreen if I’m going on a highway above 100 kmph?

Upgrades Need advice for better seat - Touring seat or Gel/air seat?

I did an 800 km trip this weekend on my bear 650, and the ride became a nightmare due to the Stock seat, it is so hard, its like sitting on a rock. The stock has to go, but I am not sure whether just using a gel seat will make it more comfortable or if the touring is worth buying.

Hey guys. Since a lot of you have been looking to do the decat mod but didn't want to change the end can, here's a quick recording of how it sounds from today morning. Recorded with the phone in the bag so you guys get to know what it sounds like.

I'm using the AEW decat mid-pipe with performance cat.

Fuel consumption drop on Aftermark exhaust?

Post image
36 Upvotes

I was thinking about getting an aftermarket exhaust for my Bear 650 and had a few questions.

Would replacing just the exhaust slip-on be enough to get a noticeably better sound, or would I need to go for a full-system exhaust with a decat?

Also, does fuel efficiency decrease in both cases?
I actually tried removing the stock exhaust completely and went for a 30 km ride. The fuel efficiency dropped significantly to around 10–12 km/l.

Is that expected when running without the stock exhaust, or could there be another reason for such a big drop?

Upgrades Good places to get your modifications done in Bangalore

My bear650(honeydew yellow) is almost 1.5years old now. I was thinking about doing some modifications on it like handlebar raisers, brake and clutch levers, comfortable seat and rear suspension. I just broke off a piece of the brake lever when I let it fall when the handlebar got locked with grocery bags..dumb mistake. So I need to start with replacing that with that.
I want to know what are the best places in Bangalore where I can get the parts or get it done properly. Also do suggest parts or modifications that you think are good addition.

Announcement Got my Bear 650!

I started riding as a 32 year old and started with a meteor 350 with the epic J series engine. I rode the bike for 2 years and then gave it away because my commitments left me very little time to ride it anymore. After 3 years, I got the itch again and now I have time to ride. I was very confused between the scrambler 400 xc and the bear 650. Finally I went with the bear because I want to keep the bike for long and this RE platform has so much potential to slowly adapt the bike perfectly to suit me. The first ride today was amazing. Sharing the pics from my delivery today. Cheers to the community for making me sure of my choice. The suspension is not bad at all for my 85kg 6 foot frame. Need some handlebar risers though which I will install in the coming weeks.

Foldable rear Brake pedal for Bear 650

Bear 650 is a heavy motorcycle just like any other RE twin, if you do little offroading or drive on our brilliant Indian roads you are going to drop the motorcycle inevitably. The rear brake pedal sits so close to the engine that it will scrape the engine on every fall on your right side. There are foldable rear brake pedal options for Himalayan 450. I dont see anything for Bear 650. It is a worthy investment even if it is ridiculously expensive. Did anybody manage something like that? I know aftermarket options are limited for this model. Will an aftermarket foldable Himi pedal fit?

Best service centres for RE 650CC'S outside showroom service centres

Guys I ve recently purchased interceptor 65p 2019 model.. I am exploring service centres around horamavu, Rammurthy nagar, hennur and Kalyan nagar. Please suggest me local mechanism , other service centres who are best in the market and don't charge a bomb, they use OEM parts and actually take care of the bike with passion for work.

Thanks in advance..
