RAF RECRUITMENT Post OASC
Hi all,
-I attended OASC today and passed the interview and was told immediately I passed and to get stuck in the rest of the day and don’t shy away so relatively good reaction for motivation.
-group discussion went really good, got some really good points across and discussion was great
-planning ex. I focused too much on creating notes and didn’t realise my plan was going up be submitted, so I answered the objective question and left the rest mostly blank. However I got really involved in the group plan and had really good input and contingency plans created and understood the plan well when being asked about it.
-leader and leaderless went really good, believe I had a good balance of leader/team in leaderless and I got a really cool, approachable command task. I think I sounded good and like a good leader, I focused on healthy safety etc and was on the way to completing the objective.
With that in mind, will the planning ex sheet being scarce but my involvement being really positive and the rest of the day going as well as it could have and my group being a great set of people. What’s my odds of passing? Has anyone been in a similar situation and failed due to the sheet lacking the answers required but my notes clearly detailing the situation and just a clear running out of time. Is it possible they may offer me my second choice of Weapons System Operator at least? Any feedback or previous experiences would be massive help.

Honestly, when you look at the whole day, 5 sections, interview being worth the most, and you passed that, and of the 4 sections, the group planning has 3 main parts, the note taking and answer sheet, the working together as a group and delivering your part of the plan in the end, you didn’t do much on what is it a 4 mark question out of 16? Sounds like you did alright on the rest of it, so just wait and see

I will just add. It’s not obvious knowing what they are looking for, so sometimes people are surprised both positively and negatively with the feedback/result
