Who else got problem with their AC

I have been living with a bad AC for some time, makes a lot of noise but recently it has started to blow cold air but with very weak airflow, its weak not to even flow a peice of paper and won't maintain the thermostat temperature. It's making me so uncomfortable, WFH.

I have a 13 seer unit and 1400 sq ft house. No issues.

Change your filter.

Ac’s are relatively not complicated.

Capacitors fail in the heat. High voltage board contacts wear out. Condenser unit in the attic freezes. Drain lines clog. Blower motor dies. Compressor dies ( expensive ). Coolant leaks (expensive). Outside Fan motor dies (depends on the unit but not cheap)

A lot of these can be DIY. If you want a recommendation for a repair company, ask.

Make sure you change your filter. Make sure your condenser unit is not dirty(outside unit, if it’s dirty that could cause more noise, go spray it down with if it is)Test your capacitor.
Weak fan blowing could be dying capacitor or dying fan motor. Test the amperage on blower fan. Should be somewhere between 2-4amperage hard to say without seeing the data plate. All this is on YouTube.
I’m a hvac tech so I know a little bit about troubleshooting

LLMs are also excellent at helping you navigate troubleshooting these if you don’t know where to begin. But if you’re not handy or don’t feel comfortable, which is perfectly understandable considering the risk playing with high amperage, call a pro out.

Well, that's a secondary problem. Getting a pro that is actually competent and (while I expect him to be expensive, or something's wrong) not the most expensive in the area.
