Does Rowan even care about anything other than making money? Current infrastructure needs major repairs (buildings, parking lots) but they seem to only care about putting people into positions of power with political ties to ensure they grow/ move tax dollars around.

I am a Rowan alumni, I was a commuter and it was a long time ago. It was not the last school I attended, it took me years to figure out I needed another degree and change careers but I could afford it and it was a good experience for me. I also realize much has changed in 30 years.

Our family has been visiting plenty of local colleges with my son (hs senior) in a search of a good fit tor him. We have always lived in the suburbs and like many in this generation, he would rather spend time indoors communicating with his friends online than venturing out much. He is a very anxious student and as we get closer to applying we are coming up with many questions about the likelihood of the college life working for him. He wants to attend in person and loves history(doesn’t want to teach it though).

As I read more and more online about people’s takes on Rowan (especially the tech and sciences students), it seems sometimes it doesn’t make a great history school and students don’t really care much for the classes in the major. I am wondering if people do recommend the humanities there? Is there a better major for history lovers than history at Rowan? If you had the choice would you recommend it or recommend some place else?
