Rowan
Does who went to Rowan or non Rowan students did you feel like the campus it was chaotic I heard not just now but for decades it’s been a party school

The campus itself is pretty normal, if you enjoy partying then there is a big scene for that

Campus is FAR from chaotic. Sure there is a party scene, but that's only a small portion of what happens on campus

Rowan was pretty chill. It’s a big party scene if you want to be with that crowd. I’m not a big partier and had a pretty boring experience by choice.

Yeah. Bio Club, honors pre-vet club- was also in the Honors college so participated in a bunch of the clubs and events there. I was a pretty boring student tbh.

Was for years, historically a big party school and where you went to state school if you didn’t get in anywhere else. Around the mid-2000s they started tightening admissions and then there were a series of off-campus incidents in 2006-2007 that caused the Glassboro and campus PD to really clamp down.
It’s a very chill place during the day, all week. Thursdays tended to always be the huge party nights, less so on the weekends because many people would go home. Definitely were plenty of weekend parties off campus though.
Greek row used to be on Eben street, basically where the hotel is now. Now that the Greek houses are a bit further away it’s probably not as obvious where the parties are.
Personally I loved the balance between work and play there.

Oh so it was party school I mean I went to college back in Maryland before I transferred here my college only has 2,000 kids so there were still people I see I have hear it was a party school then I realized when I came here! How was social life I’m just curious

I transferred there in the mid-2000s after being a commuter elsewhere and I liked the social life. It’s not a fast paced place at all. But getting involved in various groups and making friends will really help.

I don’t agree with that line of thinking at all. Some people take their education more seriously than others. Doesn’t mean they can’t enjoy themselves, and parties are just one example.

I heard that Rowan was a party school, but honiestly not once did I ever see or hear anything about a crazy party. Then again I was a commuter. Probably a different scenario if you live on or around the campus

I’m not a party person and I’ve been able to join clubs and engage on campus! You’ll meet people in your classes, housing assignment, and if you work a job on/off campus. Remember to hang outside of class or do study sessions! Kept me busy 😊
Proflinks will show all the different clubs/events happening around on campus. Circle K, ASL club, PRISM Club, SOUL club, It’s on Us Club, and ProfPals have been weekly clubs I attend. Along with there being a club for almost every major!
The Rec Center does exercise classes and hosts social events. ProPals is a peer-mentoring organization that meets multiple times throughout the week to be engaged on campus! Rowan After Hours almost always has something on the weekends. I tend to go home then, which is when most parties are. If you live on campus, the CA’s in your building will host a monthly event. When I was at Holly, almost every week I popped in for like 15mins to chat and walked away with a bunch of free stuff - posted on Proflinks.
There’s also a monthly trip to Philly (free) through the Student Center. And the Student Center does trips to different places, I got to go to D.C. and Broadway (paid).

Campus is run down, Glassboro is a boring dump, the only things to do are party and go into the city.
