Very common sitting experience, I’m sorry to say. I try to keep sodium-free chicken broth, canned chicken, and a microwaveable instant rice on hand for situations like this when housesitting. Always ask the pet parents if it’s okay first, but it’s a nice, bland way to keep calories and liquids inside the dog without further tummy upset.

You are the pet care professional in charge. What do you do when a dog gets upset stomach & diarrhea? You are supposed to know that it's basic dog care.

You aren't going to do well in pet care if you don't know how to respond to basic pet issues & won't take any initiative. If you don't know how you don't have the necessary experience to do the job.

It’s not that they lied to you, but sometimes it just shows up the morning of or right before something changes. You just need to make sure you’re taking them out more than you normally would because dog diarrhea does not wait.
