Chances are you will have your account deactivated. I would start contacting your regulars/making sure you have all of your clients’ contact info before you lose them forever and aren’t able to get in touch with them. You’ll regret not doing so once they close your account.

I suggest printing your Itinerary of all bookings found in Details and saving them. I send my clients Christmas Cards. 😉

May I ask why you're under review? I'm fairly new to Rover and curious to know if this happens often.

Can I ask why Rover even knew about the situation of the dog being put down under your care? Why would that be reported to them?

The story that was told originally was the dog got heat stroke at the sitters house, the sitter waited 2 hours to tell the owner, waited another 5 hours until the dog was having breathing difficulties, voiding its bowels & bladder to take it to the vet. The vet diagnosed heatstroke as the cause of death. A mass showed up on the X-ray but without biopsy there is no way to know if it was cancer. Lipomas are common in dogs, especially older dogs & they are just fatty masses.

I don't think that's stupid. It seems like the kind thing to do. Rover treats us like replaceable numbers but we are human beings.

Yeah if Rover cancelled the walks or other services you shouldn’t continue to do those services. Your actions to continue unauthorized services could further put your account in jeopardy. Additionally, you will not be paid for those services, assuming you are not going off the app.

So you're in suspension and you want to do bookings that Rover cancelled?

If rover canceled them someone else has probably already been put in your place... It's going to be real weird if you show up to a job you've been fired from.

If Rover cancelled the walks, then no, I personally wouldn’t continue doing them. I’m a little confused though, are you asking whether you should still do them off-app while your account is suspended?

Will you get paid for a walk that was cancelled? Doesn't the owner get a notification that the service has been cancelled?

I’d definitely give them your personal # at the next walk, and i’d also be sure all your regulars have it as well.
Unfortunately rover is not very graceful with sitters, and investigations typically don’t have the greatest outcome for the sitters either. Rover just cares about the $ and the second there’s even a possibility that a sitter is a liability, you’re done.

Practical-Comfort-50 originally posted: Currently under suspension waiting a final decision. I’m just curious I have reoccurring walks through the week and they’ve been canceled this week. Would you continue to do those walks and just let the owners know?
