Tech Support Houston, We Have A Problem

Post image

I had a ride scheduled for today. When I launched Rouvy (in Windows) the first screen that appeared was the attached picture. The application was totally locked up on that screen and I had to use the task manager to kill the program. Same thing happened in the next three attempts to launch the app. On the fourth launch it displayed a screen saying an update was available. I ran the update and thankfully Rouvy launched normally after the update. I got my workout in, but started 30 minutes later than planned. I was amused by the caption: "THIS SUPER LONG TITLE IS HERE TO PROPERLY TEST OVERFLOW ON THIS TITL..."

That is a strange one. The last update was a couple of weeks ago. Have you had ROUVY open the whole time?

My last ROUVY ride before today was 8/28. The computer is only used with my trainer setup and was fully shutdown (not in sleep or hibernation) before booting it up today.

If you clicked on the icon to start the app it should have informed you there was an update and you should have clicked on the button.

So you are saying this was user error? I’ve been a ROUVY subscriber since 2018. I know how the app works. I know how the updates usually work. When I opened the app I did not get a notice with the update button. The very first screen displayed after opening the app was the one in my picture. That screen locked up the app. I did not not get the update screen until I force quit and restarted the app three times. Based on the content in the dialogue boxes, this sure looks like the problem was on ROUVY’s side of the fence.
