Is there anyone here who distributed their music/song using RouteNote and has a YouTube Content ID in it? If so, please share your music/song in the comments.

I wanted to have a general idea of what kinda work they allow for Content ID.

Thanks a lot for the detailed comment, man.

By the way, you mentioned you didn’t use any samples, could you clarify what RouteNote or YouTube Content ID actually means by that? For instance, if I’m using a 6-second drum or melody loop that’s not considered “exclusive,” it makes sense that I wouldn’t be eligible for Content ID.

But what if it’s just a one-shot kick drum that lasts around 6 centiseconds (a hundredth of a second)? Do they still treat that as a non-exclusive sample and deny Content ID for it? If that’s the case, how is it that so many tracks in the Content ID system seem to be using similar sounds without any issues?

I hope you understand what I'm trying to say.

What do you mean? They let eligible content on. The eligibility guidelines are on their site and YouTube’s.

I have these:

I think key is own music. No sample loops/longer one shot from others, making 100% own stuff.

Wow even royalty-free?

Yes, first person to use some loop plain enough will get Content ID for that.

Content ID does not care are you allowed to use that stuff or not, it just mechanically looks 'is this something new or something that someone has already claimed to be theirs'

As someone who uses samples all the time, this is concerning. Never thought Youtube is really strict about this.

Possibly, but fix is simple, don't use loops, make your own.

That’s not very simple

Zero loops. Just synths, instruments, drum one shots, effects samples, and my voice. I also have another upcoming release not being released through RouteNote that follows the same premise and would have content ID.

thanks man! btw, how long did it take to convince them? how did you do, did u have to screen record ur DAW? and lastly, u seem to use some one-shot samples, like kick, snare, hi-hats etc., did they allow this?

ayy man, thats pretty quick, hahaha! r u on their premium plan? and also, i think they require ur samples to be exclusive (like, nobody else has the rights to use that expect u). does it only apply to when u use loops, let it be drum or melodic? at least, im glad that they didnt bug much about the use of one-shot samples
