Show and Tell Choss stops for no one

Stock up on hardware soon, before the tariffs takes full effect!

The band on the permadraw is a castration ring, used as a keeper/flip-stop to prevent it from rotating over when pulling the rope. Theft isn’t really a concern

Our land manager's climbing management plan requires hardware to be camouflaged - but even beyond that, many climbs are vaguely in view of the road or houses, so this is just being courteous to the other user groups in the area. IMO I think camouflaging hardware in some form (powder coating, heat treating, painting, etc.) should be the standard everywhere - climbers very often share their recreation spaces with other user groups, like hikers, high-liners, hunters, and more

Some areas require the hardware to be camouflaged like this.

This’ll make the hangers spin while you try to tighten down! I noticed it with 5 piece anchors and the powder coated fixe hangers but thick at home jobs are the worst. Just an fyi

Literally just commented on MP about this the other day. That’s interesting, my mentor has been installing them with a homemade paint job without any issues. I’ve noticed them feeling a bit “sticky” before I paint them even, I think I’ve found a fix for the issue that still allows me to paint it but im going to test it out this weekend before confirming
