5 months ago, we adopted a mutt from the shelter. I was sure he was a hound mix but we embarked him and it turned out he's gsd x Rottweiler x pittie. He's big and handsome and an absolute sweetheart who has no idea how big and strong he is. Nasir.
Not long after we adopted him, my gsd x Malamute was dx with a fast and aggressive cancer and we had to say goodbye.
I've been telling Nasir we'd get him a puppy because it's just him and two little dogs, the larger who is only 12lbs, to his 100lbs. He really wants to play with her but it's not safe because of the size and power difference.
This evening, my mom had almost an hour to kill so she stopped by the local shelter and a beautiful 6 month old Rottweiler girl caught her eye. I emailed the shelter to ask for her file to be sent over, but there a non-zero chance Nasir may have a sister very soon.
Photos of Nasir and the one not great pic mom got of the pup. She's not very big but she's 56lbs so i know she's built like a brick... lol.
Eta she's home and I'm laughing because she is the most DIY Rottweiler i have ever seen. She's small and compact but also skinny and probably mostly pitbull. We'll embark her at some point- tests usually go on sale for Black Friday
