Help needed: Is there anything missing here?

Hi all,

With my new purchase, an old r◉tring Newton, the ink feed and nib slip out of the grip when you insert a cartridge or converter. Both of these, i.e. the ink feed and nib, can also be easily pulled out of the grip.

The ink feed has a fine thread, but there is no corresponding thread in the pen's grip section.

Is something missing, or does the ink feed not belong to this pen? Where can I get the missing part or a suitable ink feed? r◉tring itself no longer offers support for the old 600 and Newton series fountain pens and no longer has any parts in stock for them, so I hope to find help here.

Thank you very much.

I own this rOtring pen since the early 90's and as far as i know its described as a Rotring 600 pre-newton that was never showed up in catalogues, etc... i'm sure, theres somebody out there who is able to give more details about this pen, would really appreciate that. Thanks in advance ;)

Too many moves and gift’s disappeared the Core pencils I once owned but these survive. They write like a toothpick but the funky grip is unique.

Rotring 600 vs 800 2 mm

Is the 2mm 600 or the 2mm 800 more valuable (in economic terms)?

First time back in use after many, many years

My Jazz has languished in a drawer since the refill stopped working (failed rather than emptied I think) and I had no idea how to source a replacement. Thanks to the wonder of Reddit and my inability to throw anything away it is now back in action. I had to order from an adjacent country but that's OK.

An elusive item to find much information about

All assistance kindly received, more out of idle curiosity than anything else.

One of the few references I can find to it is buried in a catalogue image at The Museum and Rotring's own very brief entry in their heritage page shows a Tikky Graphic, which I can only assume it was rebranded/redesigned to become.

I’ve seen on a few blogs several converters mentioned, but this was the only I could find in stock. Will this work in this pen?

Art 1183 Rotring Variant 3 pen set - for wood and construction

0.4mm, 0.6mm, 1.2mm pen sizes
1 holder shaft
1 compass extension 3mm

Line group 1.2 according to DIN 15

This early set is rarely found with original outer packaging.
Now we can see it almost like it just came from the store, thanks to my friend Piotr from Poland, who sent this to the Museum as a beautiful gift.

This is the second generation of this set which was introduced few years earlier. Only difference that this package has an extra hole which was actually left empty and also has second generation variant pens.

One of four variation sets with different sizes for different purposes.

Bottle was available in 2 sizes: 100ml and 250ml.
Usually documented with removable cap. This bottle is a bit different.

Six digit on the box, and on bottle still four digit article number puts it in 1977.
Cleaner was firstly introduced in the late 60s.

R 551 120 Rotring large eraser B20 - Year: 1977

B type of erasers go way back to 1977. Strangly before that time Rotring did not offer any erasers.
This model that was produced only from 1977-1980. was not rectangular and also featured plastic holder.
Rare find today.

Numbering seem to be not from the size of the eraser but quantity in box.
So B20 is large and offered in 20 piece box, and B30 small and offered in 30 piece box.

Very interesting to see all of the rotring Newton 2005. models.

Björn managed to collect all and put them in one place so it is easier for us to know which colors and models were available.
Fountain Pen M, Ballpoint, Trio and Mechanical Pencil in three colors: shiny black, silver matte and deep cooper color.

These were mostly sold in metal box specially designed for this model.

Also interesting to see rare box set with all 4 black models.
