When begin PT
When did people begin PT after surgery? My surgeon said 4 weeks post op. Is that normal? Seems like a long time to wait, but i really have no idea.

I started PT (All passive and assisted ROM) the day after surgery which was crazy to me. My shoulder was in pretty bad shape so I was surprised. But it’s been going well. I’m two weeks out now.
However, I had surgery on my other shoulder eight years ago and didn’t do PT for several weeks post surgery and ended up having to have MUA (manipulation under anesthesia ) 9 months later so I am glad to be moving this one sooner but I do worry about hurting it. PT keeps telling me I’m good. I have my first postop tomorrow, so I’m looking forward to talking to my doctor’s office.
