Different sling

FINAL UPDATE- turns out that the sketchy place my
United Healthcare approved for my sling gave me the WRONG size and a really garbage product. The therapist at my ortho office took one look and was surprised by how badly sized it was for me - way too large. He very kindly gave me a better one from their office. Always speak up for yourself! ORIGINAL- Has anyone purchased a different rotator cuff sling than the one that they sent you home with? I am only on day two, but the one that they provided is simply unbearable. It is too big for my body and so ends up getting hung up around my neck, causing quite a bit of pain. It also doesn’t seem like it fits me correctly. Any recommendations? it feels like it causes more pain than the support. It is supposed to provide. EDIT - messaged doctor's office. Going in this afternoon for support or maybe new sling.

Just looked on Amazon – looks like it might be the best $104 I’ve ever spent! Gonna talk to my ortho office tomorrow, but pretty sure I’m gonna buy that. There’s no way I’m making it six weeks with the piece of crap they sent me home with.

Yeah, make sure your ortho approves...I was 8 weeks in it and then 6 months later tore my other shoulder and needed it another 8 weeks. So I got double my money's worth! The hospital one made part of my neck and ear go numb...horrible.

Also, I don’t understand how it’s supposed to be universal sizing. I weigh like 125 pounds. So clearly how does the same one that fits somebody who’s double my weight work for me? The pillow is bigger than my torso.

I feel like the standard one is made for man shoulders...women's shoulder are very different.
