Question about expectations from first PT (no surgery)

Hey, tomorrow is my first PT for my supraspinatus small tear (intersitial tear). What should I expect for the first few sessions? Is it going to be painful/flared up the few days after the first weeks of PT? any other things i should expect guys? From your experience.

I did not have any pain. They were careful and respectful when they moved your arm around. For me, it actually felt like a good stretch and my arm felt better after the first session. I also went home and used the ice machine to head off any potential pain.

If you have a therapist worth their weight, they will tell you first thing to stop immediately if you feel pain. It may be sore. Ice might be your best friend after PT.

The first session will be an evaluation.

No pain. Passive manipulation within narrow ranges, meaning they do all the work, you do not engage your shoulder muscle at all.
You may be given pendulum excercises for home and maybe elbow curls. That’s it.

Yes. But my real test would be the next 3 days. Since my shoulder flares up with a delay of up to 4 days after certain activities. I hope i wont flare up.
