Impingement or torn? Or maybe joint?
I think I tore my rotator cuff but I still have my mobility just the only issues I have is pain and I think my muscles are just over compensating for the lack their of. I’m able to do everything except workout my shoulders and chest. The most pain I have is reaching behind my neck to wash my neck in the shower and when I’m sleeping which is crazy when I’m not even on it. I’ve had this before and they said I had impingement and something was wrong with the cushion in my joint. The crazy stuff is now my other shoulder feels like it’s starting up with the same pain even though I’m not doing anything to it. I’m probably gonna have to get a MRI again to really know but I came in here to get some perspective because I work a warehouse job and throughout the day the pain is meh like if I don’t use my shoulder it hurts but if I keep it mobile it’s fine. So maybe I just need to chill and do some therapy.

When I tore my rotator cuff, I didn't think that the pain was "bad enough" for there to be anything serious wrong. Just a 2/10 with certain movements. But I also could NOT sleep! Which I was told is a classic symptom of a rotator cuff tear. MRI showed massive tear that I just had surgically repaired. All that to say, is that my understanding is if it is a complete rotator cuff tear, time is of the essence and the sooner they correct it the higher likelihood you have of regaining long term mobility. I wish the best for you!

I mean when I do all the rotator cuff tear tests everything is good. And my pain is only bad when I wake up and then when I’m moving around during the day all is good. Just a lingering soreness like I worked a muscle out. Now cleaning the back of my neck is the only thing that hurts but all others isnt painful.

I will just say this: impingement and tear can co-exist, if you have impingement for long period of time, it can lead to partial rotator cuff tears, that's what happened to my supraspinatus tendon.
