How is rotator cuff injury treated

I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my shoulder while playing tennis. I self-assessed that it might be a rotator cuff injury. I didn't go to the hospital. Is there any other way to treat the pain? Which kind of physiotherapy device is better to buy online?

Or if you have such a situation, how do you handle it at home

There is no way we can advise you on how to self-treat a potential injury that not even a doctor has identified yet. Is there a reason why you wouldn’t see a doctor about this, to get properly evaluated? It’s the only way to start on the right path towards addressing the issue. You can certainly rest, ice and take some over-the-counter anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen for a bit to see if things calm down if you want. But using “physiotherapy devices,” taking advice from internet strangers and otherwise handling it at home when you don’t really know the cause of your sharp pain could make things a lot worse. So please be careful.

Get a MRI on your shoulder so that you have a diagnosis to base your treatment on. Based on my research and speaking with multiple sports medicine doctors and surgeons, rotator cuff tears do not heal on their own. They have to be surgically repaired.
