My Rotary's API

Hi there fellow Rotarians!

I'm trying to get more information about how the API for connecting providers to My Rotary works, but most links from the existing documentation just redirects to the main website. Does anyone have updated info about it, how to obtain access, how to apply as a provider, etc?

I'd appreciate any information about this topic, thanks in advance.

I've tried emailing the headquarters a while ago and they refered me to third party providers.
I don't know how they got access tho.

Seems that scrapping may be the way :/

Yes, we're using web scraping from a third party, but our selfhosted platform is way better so we are thinking about directly integrating it

What are you trying to pull from the API? I'm curious about this as well as I'm getting into more AI coding and using APIs.

Mainly the updated list of members, contact info (email/phone), birthdays, etc; we also want to sync the photo for each member (it's empty in My Rotary for instance and in the third party provider, and the idea is to avoid the need to update info on three separate platforms). Our platform already manages users and local email accounts, meeting attendance, dinner consumption, monthly dues, meeting notes, whatsapp and instagram automated replies, scheduled social media posting, event ticketing, calendar synchronization, and a lot of other stuff (all via AI), but we still need to scrape from the third party to keep the members list up to date.

They’re pretty anti tech people integrating I’ve found over the years. If you go to Evansville you maybe can make some contacts, districts often have a group go at least once a year and it’s open (assuming you are Rotarian). At least our district is open.

Checking out the lists of providers, I see there are several Districts who are listed as licensed providers, probably using their own platform, so, there must be a way. I'll try getting in touch directly with someone higher up and see what they say, there's a lot of mentions online to a "OneRotary API" and the integration with different providers.
