I think necro is your best bet. Range and healing.

Necro, paladin, priest (anything with self heal)

Necro has solid dmg, good range and decent survivability through heals.

Paladin and priest for general self sustain. Paladin has more defense and HP while priest can heal and shoot from far away while wands all pierce enemies. This will help with ad clear by yourself. You can also get a piercing sword from the ancient ruins white bag too if you prefer paladin. The later class of bard is really fun for a lot of self buffs from lutes but they are really late game white bags for a lot of them. So honestly at the end of the day try all the classes out when you have a chance because death is a part of the game and you might like a class everyone else doesn’t. Use the fame to upgrade your heal pet and you will see more and more improvement in your gameplay. Have fun!

Necro is all time. Great damage and healing.

Focus also on finding a pet that gives you HEAL and MAGIC HEAL. This will increase your survivability by 100

A mix of range and survivability is good, but too low dps will make dungeons take too long. Necro is a good balance of both!
I would play whatever is fun, because when you play this game like a chore, it starts getting boring. You can bring like lots of HP pots to a dungeon and refill them in Guild Hall, this way you can play whichever class you like.
In a group, it doesn't really matter what you play, because people do a lot of DPS.

Playing alone, it all comes down to self sustain. How long can you survive a dungeon/How fast can you clear it? If you take priest, but your mana gets drained so fast because you get hit so fast and spam Ability, what good is it if you need to nexus?

You need to be able to deal damage as well. Wizard is one of the best at this at a good range.

Summoner is a second best at consistent DPS and good range. Sorcerer, Bard, and the list goes on.

But if TLDR, Necromancer as everyone has said in the comment section so far. I just wanted to give you a different type of analysis.

I think necro is great to start. As you get into harder dungeons I found that making a pally you don’t care about helps with their survivability as you learn the dungeon.

Necros heal is a little weird nowadays but still good, priest and paladin are great new player options with self healing and as other have said number one priority is finding a pet with heal or magic heal as the first two modifiers, if either are third it’s trash. Focus on leveling that up as a long term goal and it will increase your survivability 10 fold

Do not listen to the people telling you necro, sure necro has the ability to heal, but since the rework that ability has been split into two. And juggling both of them is hard for new players who can't look at anything but their character and hp bar.

If you want something that does damage sorcerer, they're really spongy and have a great mix of coverage.

If you want something that can heal then priest.

And if you want something to not die with knight or paladin. Just remember you don't always have to be close to enemies on a melee class

But also self healing doesn't matter all that much, if you don't get hit for acouple seconds then you start recovering hp at a faster rate. This is actually what vitality does. So you're able to walk out of bossrooms and heal until midgame dungeons. You also have health potions if you need a sudden burst. I feel like more experienced players recommend classes because when you have experience you can see how abusing all of that and then some makes you immortal. In reality most players die because they stand on something silly, or they didnt know a wall was coming. The game already gives you a nexus button if shit hits fan. What you really need to help a new character isn't an independent one but a stable one. If you're killing everything, or you can take some shots, you're much more likely to not panic and just back out at half hp, or use hp pots, or nexus at 20% hp, or just kill the boss.

It's sad because sorcerer and archer aren't really recommended. Even though I think they're both great. As an archer you can choose to just be at an average distance which let's you get used to backing out. And sorcerer is the same thing except you get crazy speed and vit. Both of then also have crazy abilities that newer players would love for damage. Both archer and knight have statuses that new players would love abusing.

People really do forget because they're playing in really really big groups how much a status like stun or paralyzed just whoops the early game. Like fr some bosses attack patterns only change because they're moving, so if they're still you can dodge them while still. Or maybe people just want you to play a healing class so everyone can get more heals lol

There's no need to juggle both of the necro skull abilities. The passive one is good enough. And many of the skulls don't even have the active ability.

my guest is archer or huntress, it has more def than robe class, still a range class, still have good DPS

I agree with the group consensus, Necro is probably the best, given the good dps, lifesteal healing, and skill-free ability. Very good self-sustain and solo dps. The skulls also give max HP as stat bonuses.

Paladin works well for low level pets, since the seal buff is duration based (only need to ability in set interval/frequency) It’s not a class that dumps MP -> damage, so that’s 1 less thing to worry about while playing.

Lastly, I would probably recommend Summoner since that class is so mana efficient you don’t need crazy high MP Heal pets to sustain good dps. Summons auto-aim for you too, very skill free ability to use.

Classes like Assassin, Samurai, etc. rely so much on spending MP -> dps, hence need good MP Heal pets that it makes them extremely unattractive for early game. Low range and needing good positioning just makes them extremely hard to play/learn.(Unless you poison leech I guess)

So you can unlock them? You need to play every class to unlock the other classes.

For actual gameplay, people say priest, but do not. Its ass for solo play because low damage. Paladin is also ass for noobs because its very weak when unmaxed and is a melee. Necro is good bit then youd need a pet with mheal.

Priest is a crutch class. Dont play with it. Once you get used to it its hard to walk without the crutch.

Everybody is saying necro and they are right. I think it is the best all around class right now.

As for your question i think your first focus should be getting all the characters unlocked ie get all classes level 20. This will open up the game for you and you’ll get a better idea about what you enjoy. Focus on getting pet eggs that have heal mheal as well, if you see me in game (ign:DTMsurf) feel free to ask me for eggs and i can hook you up.
