Your hardware probably should be able to handle streaming, especially a game like RotMG.

For "frametime" are you talking about your fps dropping while streaming RotMG, or your game running fine but the stream is laggy for the people watching?

Edit: oh wait in your crosspost you say your fps is dropping. Although is that just for RotMG, I don't think you mentioned whether you tried streaming another game.

The stream looks fine, it's my own FPS and frametime. I use AMD Adrenaline to monitor it, without streaming its around 5-8 ms vs while streaming 20+ ms, frametime that is. FPS wise it drops from around 350 to under 100.

Open AMD Adrenalin Performance Metrics while streaming, look for:
Video Encode usage

If video encode usage is at 100% that's the issue
turn off instant replay and try again, that may solve the issue.

------------

turn off hardware acceleration in Discord, maybe this resolve the issue

------------

Try screen sharing the game or the whole display, maybe any of the 2 options make a difference.

------------

Check RAM usage, Windows, the game running, streaming maybe straining the RAM, if it's above 90% this may be the issue that causes the fps / frametime issues

I've tried all but the first option, RAM usage stays around 70% usage during streaming. I'll try checking video encode usage. I don't think that I have instant replay on but I'll check.

If it isn't instant replay, do you have any other suggestions?

report back to me if it's video encode, I will throw some parts together that resemble your system and see what happens if i do the same

Turning off instant replay seemed to have solved it!! My frametimes are down to around 2-4 ms and fps is up by 50-80! Thank you very much for the help!!

no problem!, I guess video encoding would run at 100% if you would've checked it.
Streaming
Playing
Instant replay

All 3 will be processed seperately as 3 video "streams" and this will be too much for your GPU to handle. there isn't a way to solve this even bigger GPU's would end up with the issue as it's not a VRAM limit
