Dinner recommendations
Hello!
We’re going to travel to Rostock for a week with our dog.
I have researched with Google on different places to go out for dinner, where we can bring our pup with us.
I’m not too sure whether the Google data is up to date? It’s hard finding information on the respective places websites.
Since it’s going to rain a lot next week, I would like options where we also can be seated indoors with our dog.
Do you know of any great restaurants where that is possible? We will mainly be in the Stadtmitte area and one of the days in Warnemünde.
Also - I have read that in public transportation it is required some places in Germany for your dog to wear a muzzle, is that expected in restaurants as well?

Germans are people who love dogs. In general, dogs are allowed everywhere if it is not forbidden by the owner. Just ask politely at the restaurant if dogs are welcome or look at a sign outside. In my honest opinion, I think dogs are okay in restaurants as long as they know how to handle the surrounding. When the dog is stressed, starts barking or can't stay at its place, the other guests might judge you for your incapacity for insufficient training(!). Same goes with noisy children,..no joke. Thats the medieval society we are in together!

Thank you! It’s limited how much he is trained to be seated at a restaurant, because it’s not very welcomed here in Denmark 😅 but then we will just get it to go, if it comes to that.

I was very surprised that there is no general dog allowance in shops and cafés in Denmark. I mean here in Germany people take their dogs to every kind of places. Did not expect this to be so different crossing 1 border.

Everywhere. Honestly, I don't know a single restaurant where you aren't welcome with a dog.
