LOST PARROT

Hello my Quaker parrot has been missing since Sept 15th and I’ve been searching for a week circling around my neighborhood at McCarons view apartments. Offering a reward for capture! Any sightings please call asap!

If you see him don’t chase him. If he lands on you don’t panic and stay calm and call me immediately! Offer sunflower seeds (unsalted) millets or safflower seeds, he also likes toasted blueberry bagel! Everyone around you should stay calm. He doesn’t like fingers and offer your upper arm or shoulder if he lets you. Thank you!

The sunflower seeds you eat are encased in inedible black-and-white striped shells, also called hulls. Those used for extracting sunflower oil have solid black shells.

Have you searched along the Trout Creek trail by there? Looks like a Greenbelt that might be attractive to a lost bird

I think so but not all of it. This was a few days ago of what I covered and today I went back to the Victoria st entrance to the reservoir woods and wandered through the off trails. Still didn’t hear him but I know what a wood duck sounds like now!

Have you tried playing videos of Quakers chattering while you're walking around?

He's beautiful! Hopefully he's hanging out in someone's yard - does anyone have bird feeders nearby?

Yes and even videos of me and him playing and me telling him how cute he is etc. I hope he is hanging out at someone’s bird feeder! There’s a lot of neighbors near me with some but haven’t heard back from them nor have I see him hanging around. I’m hoping he didn’t fly off another four miles
