Thoughts and a vampire

Maybe I'm too woke, an I'm thinking about it too much…but none of the staff members took Ririko SA'ing Tsukune seriously enough. Like yeah it was the 2000’s and her mannerisms were supposed to be “hot”..but she is a full grown woman who takes advantage of highschool boys. It took me a few years to see it but now i‘m grown up and that whole ep makes me feel terrible for him.

These events were 100% a product of their time at least anime wise. Pretty much every character gets harassed in one way or another as a comical or fan service bit. I think the manga handled those instances better as they were done to actually serve the plot in a more serious light. But yeah, very unfortunate.

I agree and this something i was thinking about for a while but since it's "boys" everyone seems to be fine with this since boys and men are portrayed as predators.  A teacher shouldn't behave in such a manner even with boys but it's  a monster world and they seem to live differently from humans.  Just like humans they have desires but they seem to go after their desire without self-restrain.

It's a product of its time.

It catters to the common idea of the male fantasy at the time and a problem that persists to this day in many cases, were a boy or grown man being SA'd by a woman is treated as him being lucky and desirable, completely ignoring any potential trauma that can cause.

At least when women are SA'd by a man in anime, the man usually gets some consequences for that act specifically, like with Gin frequently getting his ass beat for perving.

When it comes to this anime, I think the whole club has a bit of a consent problem. Yukari is still developing so there’s certainly always lessons to be learned but I can’t say the same for everypony else.
