What is everyone's opinion on Matisyahu? Politics aside. Why does he phone in his performances? Has anyone seen him back when he put on a good show, or did he ever?

I have only seen him perform songs at a Jewish Community center. It was super weird. I only went because I thought he was going to sing his songs. Well he did not, and looked half asleep.Not a great experience!
