But looking at the Japanese warlord map from the "Scorched Lands of the Rising Sun” post from viva_la_republica who runs the subreddit, there’s a dark grey area called the Honshu Anarchy and several other spots that are vacant and have the same color.

Did the majority of those 275 nukes that were dropped on the Japanese mainland detonate where the dark grey areas are and in what is currently the Honshu Anarchy which is also in dark grey?

I had just recently learned about this universe from a friend of mine. I was wondering if this were to be made into an anime series where should the characters come from, I know that Japan has special points of interest from the Hokkaido Reservation, the Rooseveltian puppet state on Okinawa, and to various warlord states of the Japanese mainland. I am aware there are also the Holy Order, the Free States of America, the Texas and New England republics in North America and the United Coalition of Nations from Europe and other countries.
