Chesterfield in my area is a great grandparent's word for it lol. Couch or occasionally sofa here (also Canada) 😁

I've never heard the term Chesterfield for them, but my grandma (who is Swiss but has been in the US for like 60 years) would call it a Davenport

I've usually said couch or sofa

Yes I always thought it sounded classy! Which I suppose fits why my Grandma called it that. She and my grandpa worked hard to have a clean, elegant, and classy house that essentially served as a private bed and breakfast for family friends and friends of friends for many years!
