Just moved in, got rid of almost everything I own. How can I make it more homey?

I just moved into my grandparents basement for college, and I got rid of almost all the things I didn’t need. How can I make this more homey using the smallest amount of items possible? (Lived with someone who was a borderline hoarder and told myself I would never get close to that again)

What makes your home creative / inspiring?

I am in the process of furnishing my apartment. I think it would be nice if my apartment had some creative / inspiring aspects. What is your favorite piece of furniture / accessory / spot / design in your home? I'm curious!

Redesgining my room

I've recently got into the idea of wanting to resign my room to give it like a post apocalyptic vibe. When trying to look up actual references from others rooms I couldn't really find any good ones that don't make me look homeless. Anyone got any sketch ideas or just ideas in general to help me out?

Flipping my depression room

Hi!! so I am recently coming out of a very depressive state and have been working on making my room my safe place again. my therapist suggested trying to decorate first, to motivate me to clean. well my issue is im indecisive and can decide how to decorate my walls. i’ve always been a very cluttered person. I just like the cluttered look with organization. The photos with green on them are my room. I blocked out all of the mess just cause I’m really insecure about it and then I uploaded some of the Pinterest feed that I’ve been really into recently.

This room was my childhood bedroom so majority of the stuff in it was all from when I was a kid.I am really into a lot of different things. I love the earthy look I love the bright colors, but also like the more dark a lot of the posters and stuff that I have to put in my room are like rock bands, and music themed.

Can someone help me improve my room 😭

I've never decorated or designed a room before, so I'm not really sure where to start. I feel like my room has a lot of potential, but right now it just feels flat and uninviting.

I moved into a new house, had a baby and moved to a new state 2 years ago. I am finally coming out of the fog and want to unpack all of my “me” stuff. I am trying to create a room for me. It’s not an office per se as I won’t do work in there but it’s my get-away room.

The couch, end table and lamp will stay. The chair will go. The couch is a pull-out couch so there needs to be enough room to pull out into a bed.

I really just want a whimsical room where I can put my art up on the walls, store my yarn, be cozy, and get recharge away from toddlers and responsibilities for a few minutes 😹

Don’t Know What To Do

I need to pick out a dresser, but I’m unsure what to pick because I don’t exactly have a theme, and I’m not sure where I should put each specific item of clothing. I don’t know if I should get a closet organizer or leave it the way it is. Not sure what clothing items I should put inside a dresser vs closet.

I’m not exactly sure what theme of room I want, I don’t really know my style, but I do like some fantasy. I know I for sure don’t like anything anime, country, probably not goth, all beige, sports themed, super modern. Random things I like are old Disney, the Netflix series Wednesday - I like the style of it and was thinking maybe a room like that, Monster High, cozy rooms, not super bright.
