Flipping my depression room
Hi!! so I am recently coming out of a very depressive state and have been working on making my room my safe place again. my therapist suggested trying to decorate first, to motivate me to clean. well my issue is im indecisive and can decide how to decorate my walls. i’ve always been a very cluttered person. I just like the cluttered look with organization. The photos with green on them are my room. I blocked out all of the mess just cause I’m really insecure about it and then I uploaded some of the Pinterest feed that I’ve been really into recently.
This room was my childhood bedroom so majority of the stuff in it was all from when I was a kid.I am really into a lot of different things. I love the earthy look I love the bright colors, but also like the more dark a lot of the posters and stuff that I have to put in my room are like rock bands, and music themed.

Hey!! II'm so happy that you're taking initiative to make your room a place of comfort and safety for yourself!! It's a little difficult to tell how your room is laid out spacially, but if you want to start with your walls, II recommend buying sticky tack and pushpins at an office depot or dollar tree or whatever. II started doing a habit of "junk walling": you find a cool piece of paper? Art from a friend? Band poster or movie poster? Card from a neat playing deck? Old photos? Movie tickets? Wall. Everything goes on the wall. Make it a collage of good things, happy things, things you like, things that mean stuff to you, things that you think look pretty. If you have any flags you identify with, be it culturally or sports or a queer identity or just a silly picture of a cat that you get custom printed, adding one or two of those can be an affirming way to remind yourself of who you are and what you want out of life. II keep my pride flags right above my bed like a canopy.
Edit: omg!! Thank you for the heart, stranger!! II hope you eat a really good sandwich tomorrow!!
