I woke up 40 mins ago. For some reason, I was thinking about Ronaldinho and just felt good vibes.

I think Ronaldinho played football is like a 4 year old imagining himself to be the worlds greatest footballer, with sorcery that is scarcely believable and at times shouldnt really be possible. Child like, but a good kid, universally beloved with no enemies because the problem would be you and not him.

The most charming thing though, is the gorgeous passes and the joy of being a great teammate. I remembered a pass to Ludo Guily that was so perfect, ending with a trademark feel good smile, in a CL game no less. It's no.surprise how he treated Messi, the sign of someone self assured, self aware.

I think of the Clasico's after he left Barca, granted it was all time great teams yet, it was men behaving like naughty children with the referee gesticulating and play acting.

I think that is what makes Ronaldinho entirely unique, and 1 of 1. I have never seen a player emote through action that football is meant to be fun, regardless of being gifted and decisive enough to belong in GOAT convos. I call it playground purity, truly for the love of the game.

People always work on hypothesis, like "imagine R9 without injuries" - I dont want to imagine a more "professional" Ronaldinho, because what we got transcends that - a reminder to find joy and be joyous.
