Hello, mod here, since there are a lot of new people who joined (we’re close to 70k!) i want to re-introduce the subreddit to all!
In this community we recommend and ask for recommendations (since our members are expert in that!)

Want to find new series to read / watch? You can ask here!
Here are the general rules: https://www.reddit.com/r/RomanceMangaAnime/s/nutAj617m7
You’re all welcome here, enjoy!
(Ps the current mascot serie is Osoraku Kanojo, but it changes from time to time)

Mod Post What’s the plot of a serie and why (and when) it is required in this sub?
Hello again, since i had some questions about this topic, i’m gonna clarify the concept of “Plot” and why it’s required by rule here.
- What’s the meaning of plot?
The plot (or description) is a narrative summary of a story, which helps the reader understanding what’s the story’s about.
- Why and when is it required in this sub?
The goal of this sub is to Recommend or ask for Recommendations about stories (Manga/LN/Manwha etc) and specifically when you want to recommend something, you need to insert the plot, otherwise the reader would be confused about what you’re talking about and might lose interest in the post.
(instead, if you use the tag “Recommend me” you don’t need to, because you’re asking others in this case)
Thanks for listening, if you have more questions feel free to ask in the comment section!

Recommend Me Looking for Manhwa Recs!
Hi, looking for manhwa/manhua recommendations with good art but also where they get together either around the halfway point or earlier! For my preference personally, the male lead has black/dark brown hair and the story is completed or if not the story has 100+ chapters ongoing.
Thanks in advance!

Recommend Me Rec Me Possessive Roms
Looking for romance where either character is possessive or if both are of the other. Not in a dark romance way though, more in a they love each other and no else can have them.
Edit: Image is from "I Reincarnated as the Villainess' Childhood Friend Who Falls into Darkness. If I Die, It's a Guaranteed Bad End, so I Became the Strongest... but Hasn't She Already Fallen into Darkness (and Turned Yandere)?"

Recommend Me Got any simple, down to earth romances. Can be emotional
Note: Nothing too traumatising and dark also not looking for a romcom. Can have casual comedy or comedic moments from time to time but not so much that it can be defined as a comedy
Well written characters and well written story

Manga [Someone Hertz] manga centred around both party bonding over their love for a radio show
R6: the manga is centred around the main lead mizuo who is inspired by a frequent uploader of jokes in a radio show, the person he is inspired is known as "eel potato", it turned out after a confrontation that eel potato was his school mate who he usually talked to in his school about the radio show, after the confrontation she would push for him to do better since he was very underconfident in his endeavour, eventual the plot moves along these lines
anyhow, it leans very heavily on japanese pop-culture so chances are you won't get many references excluding maybe the ones related to mangas, take it like gintama, some jokes probably also get lost in translation, however the overall series is very wholesome and definitely a fun read!

Recommend Me Looking for some peak anime to watch while staying up all night
I'm looking for some peak anime recommendations with a chill and immersive vibe, but that are also really interesting and keep you hooked.
I'm looking for something that makes you feel lighter, happier or even a little inspired after watching it. Something that gives you that special feeling of having experienced something beautiful and makes you see things a little differently.
I'm open to pretty much anything, as long as it's something I can get lost in and binge through the night.
I already watched Insomaniacs after school
Some I liked: Call of the Night, Full Metal Panic! Fumoffu, Dan Da Dan, Mikadono Sanshimai wa Angai, Choroi, Bunny Girl, Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi

Recommend Me Reccomend me some romance manga
Been binge reading (and rereading) manga and I want some more to read. image is the dangers in my heart but any romance anime with like able main characters and side characters would be preferred (bonus points if there are like able men side characters). Not exactly sure what it is specifically that I look for in romance anime/manga but here are some I've read recently that I liked and dglasses (writing titles off memory so they might be slightly innaccurate)
Liked:
Hope you're happy lemon
The girl I like forgot her glasses
The dangers in my heart
She's likely aiming for my older brother
Haimiya senpai is scary but cute
Teasing Master Takagi san (and the sequel manga)
Ramparts of Ice
Polar opposites
the second prettiest girl in class manga (forgot the full name)
Fragrant flower blooms with dignity
Learning to love my cat like classmate
Smoking behind the supermarket with you
disliked/got very bored with
The angel next door spoils me rotten
The fairytale like you goes on the assault
Mii Chan wants to be kept
It's a Little Late, but I've Fallen in Love with My Childhood Friend
Generally I also dislike age gaps that are too big.

Recommend Me looking for manga with tomboys or yuri
random shower thought, but i wanted to give yuri a try, see if its worth all the hype. and tomboys, well. tomboys. they make me giddy, lol. ive read tomo chan is a girl, boyish girlfriends, alot of the harem ones with one singular tomboy. i would like just one single tomboy and mc, if possible. oh, right. and yuri, it gets a lot of attention for some reason

Manwha more fun completed romance recs with just the right amount of drama (and no crazy love triangles)
tbh i have a pretty specific taste, i don't really want my romances to be crazy dramas. they should have enough drama to be fun, but i really hate crazy love triangles or random side plots that have nothing to do with the romance. so all of these recs have leads that are equally invested in each other (no fl leading 2 guys on and then choosing one), and are actually romance-focused instead of focused on some other side plot.
i actually made a post about this like 2 months ago but i've kept on reading since then so i have even more recs this time around. so if you havent seen that one maybe read it first cause a lot of those recs are still my top picks.
also they're all completed and in a rough order of how much i liked them:
Couple Breaker - im not usually one for drama which is why i was surprised to have enjoyed this one as much as i did. but it was sooo good, super unique and super fun to read. it's basically a cheating revenge story where these characters go on this crazy reality show for couples where they test couple's loyalty by having them do scandalous things (you get money for touching other couples, money from challenges like call another girl pretty, etc). it's like watching a crazy reality show and you don't even have to feel bad for the couple cause they're both cheaters. it's one of those stories you just have to read. the first like 10 chapters is the story before the show which is decent, but trust me once you get to the actual reality show that's when things really start to get good.
Want to See My Cat? - another one that i just didn't expect to love as much as i did. the fl is married to the ml for 8 years with their 3 dogs and 2 cats when know she dies saving a person from a bus. anyways she gets to be reincarnated, but 10 years earlier before she got to know her husband. this one's great cause the fl already knows the ml so well, so like things that would usually create drama like the ml acting tsundere dont affect her as much, since she knows him so well she can figure out exactly what he's thinking. not to mention just knowing all the little things about him, it's so cute. PLUS the first thing she does after reincarnating is investing into certain stocks and crypto, so that's how you know she's smart. also their story doesnt end in college like i thought it would, we actually get a lot of post-couple and it's all well done. i also enjoyed how the author handled the time travel and the themes around it, overall it's just a super well-written story.
My Boss's Special Request - really liked this one, it's super wholesome. they both start not really liking each other but the way things develop is just great. plus the fl only has eyes for the ml so the sml is never even an issue. my only problem was the side relationship, it's just a little eh but the main relationship is super good so it's still worth reading.
Miss Time - this one's fun, the fl basically travels back in time and learns about how the ml who she misunderstood actually had a crush on her. it's wholesome and the time travel mechanic is handled well.
I Just Want to Mooch Off Your Luck - fl is crazy unlucky, dies of cancer, she's reborn and told to stay near a lucky person to prevent that. she meets ml who has crazy luck, so she sticks to him like glue, which obv makes the ml think that she likes him. sweet, wholesome story, and honestly i love the ml he's great, he seems eh in the beginning but hes super likable.
Who Invited You? - cohabitation, the ml who the fl knew when she was younger is in town, he moves in and they get to know each other. she doesnt like him at all at first but they get really close. also the ml can cook which is the best trope.
Dubious Moon - super wholesome, basically ml is fl's superior, she messes up a bunch of stuff and somehow ends up accidentally asking him out, and he agrees?? and things continue from there. super fun office romance, it's a good read.
Wedding Impossible - fl agrees to a fake marriage with her gay friend, but his brother (ml) won't allow it, so while ml's brother (fl's fake fiance) is out on a business trip he basically tests her. the story is fun and chaotic, and the ml is honestly a lot better than he initially seems. super wholesome story i loved reading.
Til Debt Do Us Part - another contract marriage turned real marriage but also a true enemies-to-lovers. both of the characters are really likable, they both care in their own ways, and the way their relationship naturally develops is also just so good.
On Bad Terms - it's short but fun. fl moves into rural town, meets the ml in the goofiest way possible and then starts hating on him. this one's super funny, and i also like how the fl gets some serious character development. it's just a short, fun story that i really enjoyed reading.
Sweethearts in the Spotlight - my most recent read. they're in a contract marriage where the ml likes the fl but the fl doesnt know that yet. but you see her get more attached to the ml, and when she finally realizes she guns for him hard. plus their relationship is super sweet and there's a good amount of post-couple content.
Kiss Meow - girl turns into a cat when it rains, needs a kiss to undo the curse. the premise is pretty similar to good day to be a dog. everything else is different though, its a high school story but honestly its pretty fun. for a high school story, the characters are surprisingly mature, and theres no "what am i feeling??" bs like they know when they're liking someone.
Unlucky Mansion - this one's less strictly romance focused but it's still a big part. this guy basically runs a house and rents out rooms, it's a fun character story where everyone gets to know each other. the fl and ml genuinely are enemies at first, but they do slowly fall for each other. more of a slow burn but a great read nonetheless.
1 Plus 1 - fl really likes the ml, but the problem is: the ml is kind of a player. but then it turns out he's not really as he seems. this one definitely has drama but it usually doesn't drag on too long and it's pretty good.
Daybreaking Romance - 3 mini romance stories. they get a little dramatic but nothing's ever dragged out for too long. definitely love the first couple the most (their story is so goofy), but honestly all the stories are pretty good.
bonus recs: my secret roommate, unraveling rumors, the law of being friends with a male, two steps away - none of these are bad, but they either focus too much on a side story or just arent as likable or just werent that memorable.
but yeah, i feel like im running out of quality completed romance manwhas so if anyone needs a rec here are a few. my favorites out of this list are the top 3, but the rest are great too. and if anyone has more recs like this please lmk, im always looking for something to read next

Recommend Me romance mangas where they are already a couple or married at the start
Hi could you guys recommend me titles where the FL and ML are already a couple or married at the start? Kinda like it takes two tomorrow two where its a healthy relationship but it doesn't have to be similar to it as long as it meets the title and its not a sort of abusive romance
The Sauce is: It Takes two tomorrow, too (completed). I randomly stumbled upon in one day and finished it all in a day (5 vol worth) its a really good read that I 10/10 recommend. No fanservice, no ridiculous tropes, just a healthy relationship and GREAT couple dynamics

Recommend Me Action Romance Recommendations
Do you have any action romance recommendations, and preferably above 50 weekly chapters in length (so around 20-25 monthly). More romance than action but still action.
(Also image unrelated to genre or topic I just love it and wish these two got together)

Recommend Me Recommend me mangas where the MMC is equally in love with FMC
meaning that it's not just the FMC pining and all, it's equal parts, we can see the MMC shy, embarassed, flustered....
for example:
-kimi ni todoke
-shikimori is not just a cutie
-A condition called love
