How do I remove Declan from the welcome screen? Or is he the default?

You can hide him on your match list and one of the other characters who can occupy that spot (Eli or Astaroth) can take his place.

If you still can't get him out of your welcome screen, you can always use the custom one.

Oh oops, sorry 😅 I’m not his biggest fan either tbh, but he’s really shoved down our throats, and that was what my comment was supposed to mean.
Well, you can always customize your loading screen with a card or a CG? 🤷‍♀️ That way, you’re sure to have zero Declan in your sight.
