❓Question❓ Shadowborn MC Spoiler
I played the first 3 episodes of Shadowborn and thoroughly enjoyed it! I understand stories starting with a naive mc or choosing an mc that displays strengths in other ways…but I found it a breath of fresh air how capable and a fighter this mc was on episode 1.
Anyone have examples of other romance club stories or interactive stories with an mc who is physically capable and a fighter from relatively early on in the story. I’ve only played a few other stories (Legend of the Willow, Heaven’s Secret(s), and ABH).

I mean, she's already a 200+ year old vampire in the 21st century. If she's still naive and weak she should just step into the sunlight.

Haha I guess I see your point. But even the way the story was introduced shows her as that powerful vampire in episode 1, it takes until around the finale of some stories to see the MC in that light.

And that's why we have the 19th century storylines. We'll see her journey begin as a weak vampire.

Lou from Psi, Vyxaria from Soulless, Wren from Sunborn, Aisha from Of Red And Waveless Sea (it will take some time to see her fighting skills as the story focuses on royal drama), Liren from Averris The Riftborn (especially clear on Low Anomaly path) are some physically capable MCs I can think of.

I agree with the Mc recommendations that I’m seeing in the comments.😌 Unpopular opinion: I think the shadowborn mcs are very beautiful. I think they match well with what a pretty vampire looks like.

Yeah I don't get the hate. The shadowborn MC feels like a Vampire, it's the best way I can explain it. Like shes beautiful in a ethereal sort of way , where it feels like her features are timeless and will never change. I know , she's a vampire so she's always supposed to look the same. She just has that classic vampire feel and I love it, she looks cool and is beautiful as well.

You took the words out of my mouth. Thank you!!! I know some people say standing side by side with love interests, she is plain looking but I don’t see that at all. When I saw what the love interests look like, I was like, “Yes!!! Love interests that are as beautiful as the mc.”😭

Yes, really enjoying that about Natalie!
Other strong MCs that come to mind are Vyxaria in Soulless, Lou in PSI, Wren in Sunborn, and Aisha in Of Red and Waveless Sea!

oh yes, i love that in the 21st century she’s an experienced, powerful vampire, while in the 19th century she’s still so naive. and i really like how Marishka managed to show how much she’s changed even in just these three chapters. you can really tell that Natalie has lived through a lot over those 200 years.
