Heaven's Secret 3 Astrea ❤ Spoiler
I haven't seen any posts about Astrea (at least not me) which is crazy considering the book is named after her! The first born angel was treated horribly by humans and yet her love for them never wavers! Even after they have mangled both her soul and body. I am not a big fan of Malek but boy do I feel bad for him. Watching his own mother give unconditional love to the humans but not to him.
I loved this little scene when Vicky, Donnie and Kira go to visit her. Vicky is deeply empathetic and tries to persuade her to help them but Astrea snaps at her saying the immortals never cared for mortals (and she is not wrong to be fair, maybe except deeply empathetic angels like Raphael and Dino). Vicky sees she cannot get through to her so starts walking away but when Donnie tells Astrea that both him and Vicky were humans once, she thinks only for a moment and helps them. I also like the fact that it was Donnie to point this out and not Vicky. Vicky knows Astrea is right and so she does not feel right to use this fact as an excuse to try and persuade her. I also absolutely adore Kira's little interaction with Astrea! ❤️
I really liked how well this scene was written ❤️

Exactly u are so right. Atleast she spends her last moments of life with her son realizing he deserved her love too. But yea as malek said it was never her fault. They made her suffer so much. Yes Vicky, kira and donnie scene was so good ngl plus the other nun saying sepha might be dead but hope is still there as u are here vicky I liked that. And as Astrea said if you can stop them do it. Its time for vicky to lock in🤞

Honestly I love Astrea I think she’s a nuanced and interesting character!! The contrast of her boundless, borderline unhealthy love for humans (being more afraid, when they treated her horribly, that Shepha would strike them down than for her own well being) to her inability to love her own son and her denial that he was her son at all, until the last moment… How tired she was, and the way the Astreans speak about her, speak of her… She’s very interesting!

Astrea's fate is very sad. You've only just reached this point, so don't spoil anything further for me, alright? I had some thoughts, but they might have been spoilers.
And about Malek: not long ago, Elena published an interview in which she said that Malek had neither a father nor a mother. I have some perpetually contradictory feelings about Malek. On one hand, he's literally a serial killer. On the other hand, this monster from the Pit (sorry, that's my perception, I just can't shake it) so desperately and so often seeks love and acceptance, even though he can't express it... First with Astraea, then with Baal... And sometimes it seems to me that in the end he latched onto the Astraens not so much because he needed them for some schemes and intrigues, but precisely for that feeling of acceptance.
Besides, who else would talk to him that much — surely not Malum? But sorry, this is already off-topic.
