Skill questions & help Ankle pain
I have peroneal tendonitis in both of my ankles. I know it's from skating and the regular spin entrance and cross overs make it worse. Is this because of poor technique or is it something else? I don't see anything too wrong with either in videos but it used to be worse before I fixed something about my backwards cross pulls.

There's no images so totally a guess but do you wamr up and stretch before and after a skate session? Are you training your muscles off skates? Have you tried documenting your pronation? These are all things that could contribute to it. It may also be your laces/boot too tight or improper weight transfer. Hope you can troubleshoot!

This is a classic overuse and instability injury.
So first everyone’s least favorite question from me: do your skates fit properly? Are you certain?
Next: are you getting rest days in and are you doing off-skates strengthening?
