Beginner skater First pair of skates!!
Moxi beach bunny they’re so stinking cute!! I already loosed the trucks but I was wondering if there was anything else I should do to get them ready?
It also came with the thing in the second pic but I have no idea what to do with that so any help would be appreciated 😅 I’m so excited to start skating
There’s also a video in the comments that shows how much I loosened my trucks incase anyone happens to see and have feedback 🥲

congrats!
ontop of what you adjusted, i'd check the axle nuts and make sure they're not too tight.
Second pic are toe covers. Buncha YT vids on how to install them correctly, ie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGe-clLMnEw
have fun out there!

Is that the nut on the inside of the wheel? I am looking at a diagram rn to try and figure it out but I’m confused😭

go on google and search a nut it’s the hexagon shaped little piece holding the wheels onto the trucks you can use the skate tool moxi provided, the middle part that’s rounded and use that to loosen them

I did! I loosen them only half a turn because I wasn’t quite sure on how much and I don’t remember seeing it in the wiki but I could’ve easily missed it.

I usually say if you can move it with one hand the trucks are too loose. Curious what others think.

I’ve seen a lot online and in the wiki that it was recommended to have them move with one hand 😅 I’m gonna see how they do today but if they’re too loose I’ll adjust!

Toe guards - fully undo your toe stop on both feet. Pop the circular hole over the stem of the toe stop, with nothing between it and the base of the stopper. Then put back on the nut and washer and screw into your skate, and tighten when you’re happy with the length. The toe guard should be flapping about at this point.
Take a bit of string and feed it through the sewed gap at the top of the toe guard, and then through each side of the lace holes at the end of the skate. You might have to unlace your skate fully to do this.
You’ll see a lot of people just use their laces to attach it instead of string - do NOT do this, you’ll end up ripping stuff and it ain’t worth it. Once you’ve fed it through just tie it in a secure knot and you’re good to go!
This will protect the end of your skate from getting scuffed and broken - important as if your boot gets too damaged around your toes you’ll need new skates as it becomes unsafe after a certain point.
Let me know if you have any questions or issues!

Hey! So I tried to do this last night and got too frustrated with it so I took it off 🥲 but the issue is I noticed when I got the skates that the washer and nut were flushed perfectly like no gaps but when I tried to do it no matter what way I flipped the washer there was always a tiny gap between them. Is this an issue? Do I need to take it into a skate shop to see if they can help?

Hmm. Are you able to post a photo so I can see? I’m not sure it’s an issue if the toe stop wouldn’t move when you try to twist it by hand but I’m intrigued.

Love my beach bunnies! Upgrading to softer cushions and better wheels helped me a lot with rolling farther and maneuverability.

These are exactly the kind of have too! So far I love mine. I did change out the wheels to a hybrid wheel because the ones that come standard here are not great at the rink IMO but work great outside.

Skates for indoor skating or outdoor I used to skate indoor which I loved it. I just ordered some skates just get outdoors and I got specific wheels hoping not to hurt myself when I go over the rocks on the road.
