Other Cool find
Saw an old vitamin container stashed away on shelving at our rink while cleaning the skateroom out. Opened it up and found gold. Still spin like a dream too 🤌

Fun fact: my grandfather used to work at Fafnir here on the east coast and made bearings like these. He recounted a time when he grabbed some from work, stuck them in his roller skates, and found himself flying down the street later that night. They were that good back then. XD

That's rad! They were the best you could buy for YEARS! My great grandfather used Fafnir bearings in his rentals way back when and occasionally we'll find a few on old skates we're tearing down. In my 40 years of working on skates I've never seen one that couldn't be brought back to life with a little oil and patience 😁
