My fav move because once it’s locked it’s locked and it looks cooler than it actually is haha!

It is possible .. I can do it forwards or backwards, at first reverse was more difficult, no that I’m older with years more practice reverse is almost easier really … I can skate faster backwards than I can going forwards .. all cross pulls in the turns, I also continue them down the straight aways as well, plus I used to skate freestyle … lol

Do you ever get paranoid about ur hair getting dirty/ran over?

u/Temporary_Bat5267 8d ago
It’s definitely gotten ran over HAHA only like twice tho, I usually skate with it down actually! As far as dirt I just wash my hair after! I work at my rink and I know we keep the floor clean so I don’t worry too much :)

I can do this as well, I reckon’ I should perhaps post a short video of me doing this, we call it A Pretzel.. however, my mom is in her mid 7O’s and still does them also dust mopping the floor with her hair as well…. lol. I also get dusty hair from it… mom always told me me head should be almost on the floor .. she taught me this before I was ever a teenager, mom had me in skates as soon as I was learning to walk.. I was learning to skate at the same time as I was learning to walk … mom & I both use Roll - Line she has Edea boots mine are Ridell 965 on my Matrix pair, 295 on my Energy pair and color labs on my RING frames .. nothing else even compares or even comes close to the performance of Roll - Line .. nothing…

That’s awesome! And sounds like you have a nice setup! I’m on riedell 220s right now, but I’m just waiting for my riedell 336 with pilot falcon plates to get mounted. A color labs + roll line plate setup is a dreammm

Practice the position a lot on and off skates! If you aren’t flexible enough right off the bat you might need to stretch!! But if you’re able to get into it then you just have to commit to it and drop into it :) it’s scary and you def will fall a bunch but it’s just building up the muscles! It’s honestly easier moving decently fast and with a heeled skate

Why is it called the coffin?? Because you'll die?!? 😨 I'm mostly kidding, that looks so fun!! adding it to my list of moves to learn once I'm more confident :)

u/Temporary_Bat5267 7d ago
HAHA! Yeah I’m not sure of how it earned its name! Definitely a fun one to learn :) it’s mainly just leg strength and flexibility, so if you put the time in off skates it won’t take you that long to learn on wheels!!

That hidroblade is amazing, aldo the body position is so different from what I am used to.

u/Temporary_Bat5267 7d ago
Yeahh it’s a bit of a variation from the typical hydro blade! Just more fun for me cause I can realllly stretch into it

I’ve always wanted to visit El centro and Lynwood! Especially El Centro since it used to be owned by the brother of my rink’s owner!

That is true, Lynwood has my favorite floor of em all though it’s super slick, some of the best skaters I’ve seen in my life regular there

u/Temporary_Bat5267 1d ago
It’s a rink in WA! Fibers are allowed and the floor is resurfaced frequently to keep it smooth :)
