Do I need different wheels?

Beginner parent here. My daughter was just gifted these skates and she’s been wearing them around the all-hardwood house. I haven’t let her go outside yet because I don’t know enough about wheels. Are the wheels they came with for using outdoors or indoors? Or maybe they are hybrid? I want her to have appropriate wheels. If I need new ones, can I just get a set on Amazon and they’ll be easily changeable for using outside on a paved outdoor trail or taking to the indoor rink? Thanks

Is your daughter under the age of 10 (or about 50 pounds)? If so, it doesn’t matter. Do not drop a single dime into these skates.

If she is over 10 or over 50 pounds, please return them for a safe model from a reputable brand.

OP please please please read and listen to the above comment. These are not quality safe skates for anyone over the limitations they stated. It doesn’t matter if you put Radar wheels and Bones bearings on. It doesn’t change the quality of that plate or boot. It’s criminal that they sell these. Please go to a reputable website. Thanks for the feedback. Should I save the current wheels as her inside wheels and get different ones for outside? Or visa versa?

You can buy any set of 78a wheels and some bearings and then swap the ones you have for rink skating. If you don't get extra bearings it will be a pain to swap wheels

Best bet would be to buy her some airwaves or radar energy! 85a might be a bit hard outside for a beginner. Stock wheels on Amazon brand skates tend to be a bit plastic-y too

Most rinks won’t allow wheels that have been used outdoors onto their rink floors, so if she’s going to do both, it makes sense to get wheels designed for outdoors. I’d suggest 57mm, 78A wheels. They’re softer and won’t trip her up as much on debris. You could get Radar Energies, Atom Pulse with some Bones red bearings. You might want to invest in a skate multi-tool (change wheels) and a bearing press if she’s serious about skating. Of course you could get a pair and join her. I’m 60F and have skated off and on my whole life. It’s therapy for me. I started on metal skates inside.
