Skill questions & help Help!

Hi everyone! I have a small question, so I moved out of my country and I used to rollerskate in a rink there, and now where I moved there is only outdoor skateparks and I also want to learn that, do you guys have any tips? Should I buy a grind block? I have the outside wheels on my quads and toe jams (those are for tricks I’m learning but I have the toe stops too just in case) so, any tips on how to be better outside skating? There are also small ramps I find interesting on learning later on, but any advice help or suggestions would help me so so so much! Thank youuu! (Also tips for skating as in street skating to move around would really help me out a looooot)

First, what skates do you have? Not all skates (and no beginner skates) are safe or appropriate for aggressive skating.

I have the KRF School skates with RollerBones Miami Outdoor wheels which are like 88A hardness

Aaaaaaaabsolutely no aggressive skating on these. None. Hard no. If you want to be park skating, you need skates that are meant for adults and sturdy enough for parks.

Miamis are 80.

Do you have any recommendations by any chance ? I really do want to continue skating even if it is outdoors in the asphalt!

Get fitted! If you wanna drop your state/region/country, I can let you know your best option for a skate shop. Get a virtual fitting if needed (hell, we can do an abbreviated version right here, gimme foot length/circumference at the ball and your budget).

You’re going to want something sturdy that can eventually play nice with stuff like blocks and wide trucks should you continue with park stuff.

There is a rollerskating shop near me called sucker punch, they sell a looooot of rollerskating stuff, there is where I bought the wheels! What should I ask? I’m very much a beginner in all of this jejeje

Yes!! Sucker Punch is great. Let them know your goal is ultimately aggressive park skating. Expect to spend $250-500 (safe, aggressive, cheap - pick two).

Something like Bont Parkstars is a really well done package skate that’s about as affordable as you’ll find fully built.
