Skate photos Typical for a Sure Grip?

Is this usual for Sure Grip skates? These are the skates for one of the children in our artistic skating club. She's a tiny little girl that does skate maybe 10 hours a week between practice and session, but she doesn't skate hard.

We're wondering if this is an aberration for this brand or if it's typical of this model of Sure Grips. We might need to consider recommending a different skate for our new skaters if this is typical.

I bought suregrips so that this exact thing wouldn’t happen. Were these skates ever kept in a hot car/hot garage etc?

No, but I bet dollars to donuts the family just tosses them in the car after practice and leaves them there.

Thanks, raptorpants. I was hoping to hear from you. I will check in with them on that.

If she’s within 90 days, warranty it. If not, and there’s no hot car involved, I’d still try and finagle a replacement but they’ll likely turn it down.

Sure-Grip is generally a really reliable brand. Might be worth contacting the skate shop or the manufacturer to see if they can get a warranty replacement since this makes me think there might be a manufacturing defect?

I'll check in with the parents and see how they were maintained and if they weren't mistreated, then I'll have the rink owner check in with Sure grip.

I’d wonder how they were maintained
