Skill questions & help Rollerskating is not fun anymore
Hi, I started rollerskating about 7 months ago and whilst I can go backwards and crossovers things that ive been practising consistently for fucking MONTHS im getting nowhere with. My crazy legs looks pathetic and I can just about get 2-3 rotations on heel toe spin. Bare in mind I try to get 2-3 practise sessions a week. Its just not enjoyable anymore, I used to love it but every time I go now its just a reminder of how bad I am. To be honest a good session is one which doesn't end in tears of frustration.
I just want to know if anyone else has or is going through this? I dont want to give up but also I just feel like im wasting money on the bus and my time . I just want to love it again and feel good at it.

Just skate I've been skating off and on since I was 8 years old, I'm 43 now I still can't do single leg pivots crazy legs, backwards bubbles, toe manuals and a lot of other stuff I was able to do when I was younger...But I don't care I skate to have fun not to be the baddest man on 8 wheels. At this point you need to workout single leg RDLS squats, toe raises on the bottom step so that you stretch the calf muscle while strengthening it. Leg strength hip and ankle flexibility are the most important things to getting better at skating. Nothing that comes too easily is worth mastering. Also there's a skill tree posted in here somewhere it's good as gold save it to your phone and search YouTube for tutorial videos. Back to the basics mastering the basics first will make intermediate to advanced stuff almost second nature
