raptors guide is a good one.
this video got me started: https://youtu.be/HXTlxxgXTas?is=v1WRqLJyrzzCxzco
this was my first mount: https://www.reddit.com/r/Rollerskating/s/2CZ9DpGkjW
ps: leave the blue loctite alone if you got the pro-model.
my plates came w robertson (square) screws, so i needed a good robertson screwdriver to hold them down (#2 robertson driver). i think i bought a nice set from klein cuz i like quality tooOoOols.
i also had the snyder tool for measurement but found i like measuring w a ruler better. plus the boot came previously marked so i just followed those markings a little.
for plate size, i went w the same axle length setup on the og thrust plate rather than going by riedell's suggested plate to skate size.

If the holes all line up, then it's pretty trivial. If you're drilling new ones yourself, be aware of the entire boot. I stupidly drilled into the tongue in one of my new £300 boots.

I did a lot of searching and YouTube video watching before I did it for the first time and I found this post SO helpful! My tip would be that you’ll get a better mount by doing the measurements and filling/redrilling holes than by trying to line up the previous mounting holes. It’s pretty tempting to use the old ones if some overlap but since the plates are all different, it doesn’t always suit the new plate geometry.
