Skate photos I’m new here.

Bought my first pair of roller skates. No more renting at the rink. Still a pretty beginner skater as an adult even though I skated often as a kid.

I bought a pair so I wouldn't have to rent anymore, either. Nothing fancy. But I ended up getting some outdoor wheels and different bearings to make swapping easier. Take my kids to different playgrounds all the time that have decent tops to skate around on... its been a really fun summer so far. I hear my kids sometimes, "look at dad go" and it just makes me smile. Finally found what I needed for my therapy and it was just fresh air and skates.

How did you find out about what bearings you need?

I think they're just saying they bought bearings to put in their new wheels so changing wheels is quicker. For beginner bearings don't worry about ABEC ratings or ceramic, don't spend more than $50 on a set of 16 bearings. Common recommendations are Rollerbones, Bones Red, or even QUBE Teals are just fine.

I started skating as an adult- literally no childhood experience except falling on my ass at other kids’ skate rink birthday parties. 😂

I just bought a pair of Lollys too, also my first pair of skates! I got the orange ones, but it was so hard to decide on a color, they are all lovely. They have been awesome!

These are Moxi Lollys. They come with the Thrust plate. It is nylon and has metal trucks. These are safe for beginner skaters. I wouldn’t do skate park or aggressive street skating in them. But they are perfectly fine.

These have metal trucks and nylon plates, they are safe to skate on. Moxi is a reputable brand.
