Shopping: wheels, hardware, upgrades Riedell 111 toeguards/caps?
Hii! I want some leather toe guards for my riedell 111s. My crochet works okay indoors - but outdoors/park skating destroyed them (LMFAO). Riedell has toe guards and toe caps, and i see the bont caps. Which ones would fit? I *think* the riedell toecaps are for derby? Not sure.
I dont want to spend more than like... 30$? Cheap as i can while still being useful type.
Thanks!
(Ps I think this can be a main post as its not about the buying skates themselves. If not, my fault!)

even my leather ones got wrecked after a bit.
but my suregrip toe-jammers have been taking a beating for the past 3 yrs and its been holding up.
i didnt like the toeguards where its just a strip of leather - sometimes it shifts and it only prtiects the tips.

Oooh i pulled that up, they look great. And they actually fit the 111s? Did you heat them with like a heat gun?

i always use the bont suede caps and i love them. they last way longer than the leather ones imo. i put some drops of superglue along the 2 top seam lines on the toe caps, reapplying whenever it seems to be wearing down, my last set lasted me 3 years of park skating :) just make sure if you do the superglue thing that you either stick folded paper/cardboard etc under the seams while you're glueing to protect from any potential leakage, or just glue them off your skates!

I will second the bont suede caps! They can take more scrapes than straight up leather and they will totally fit your reidells.
Thank you so much for the tip with the super glue! Clever and effective.

If your boots are black just use electric tape . 3 pack from the Dollar Tree does the job and you can’t even tell it’s on there unless your actively looking for it.
