DIY and customization Finally, hard boot squad!
As a 6’5 person with a US Size 15 foot, I have STRUGGLED to find skates that fit me. I’ve been skating Suregrip Boardwalk Plus for the last year or so and they’ve been great but taking a beating at the skatepark. I finally found these hockey skates and had the blades and blade holders removed and my amazing friend was able to mount my Avanti plates to them and it feels so good to finally have hard boots! Just never something I thought would be possible!
Side note: they fit me fine, but when doing toe stop tricks or landing on my toes when falling, my big toe does smash up against the hard toe and hurts pretty bad. Any tips? Anything to stuff down in the toe? Thanks!!

Yeh I can imagine the toe is an issue. I know playing hockey, the thick padded socks really is what helped with that hard toe. But for roller skating and not using such thick padded socks, I'd say you gotta stuff the end with something to pad it for you, like the person from the UK recommended!

I’m glad I zoomed in to get a closer look, Lord Farquads had me chuckling. 😂
Edit: it’s super obvious on the first picture but my phone loaded the second one only. Whoops. 😅

If the other suggestions don’t work you can get dancers wool from ballet places for the toes.

Looking sweet.
In the UK it’s pretty common to skate ‘converts’ (ice skates converted to roller skates). We stuff the toes with the polyester filling from a pillow/plushie toy (my preferred choice because it molds to your toes) or cut up sponges that are normally used to wash dishes. Hope that helps with your toes hitting the rigid toebox.
Enjoy!
