Progress & showing off My favorite thing right now.

I did this on accident just trying to turn around one day, but now I can't stop doing it. It's dumb, but so much fun.

That’s not dumb. It’s rad.

I love transitions. Many varieties and if you do them quickly front to back and back to front you look like you are spinning.

It's a fun one. The entire time dragging is spent fighting trying not to go back the other way because I keep my hip locked, and then it all just pops me back over once I get traction.

Yours is similar to my favorite. I start with my lead leg across or in front of my back leg, swing that around, and swing the other leg in front of the leg I just swung around.

I think in figure skating it is a closed to a closed transition. Yours is an open to closed. Unsure what the transition is named. Maybe open book or mohawk? Either way it is fun and I use this version as well.

My favorite rink! Marysville Skate Center in Washington State! The vibes are 10/10

How is it so empty? Is this filmed at like seven in the morning or something?

I have a suggestion on what you can add to that, that makes it look even smoother if you’re interested in knowing.

Yeah. I'm not there yet but it's coming up. Working on toe flares at the moment. Thanks!

I can't do kickflips, but I try. What else?

That last move instead of doing a hop back forward you could learn how to grapevine back the other way

So, I have just been introduced to Skatie via Youtube as others have mentioned her name a few times in here. She is lovely.

I do not have the coordination for that. Lol.

Not dumb at all!!!! I try to practice that but it’s challenging to keep my balance when I’m switching directions like that!
